PROTEST ERUPTS DURING OVERLAND PARK COUNCIL MEETING!!! 2018 FATAL POLICE SHOOTING OF TEEN JOHN ALBERS SPARKS CONTINUED OUTCRY!!!
What's interesting here and what local media don't want to mention is that local activists are doing their homework on Kansas City metro police history and have taken up the cause of a controversial killing to continue DEFUND advocacy against law enforcement . . . Checkit:
KSHB: Protesters, mayor clash at Overland Park City Council meeting
Deets:
The fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy in 2018 and the subsequent payoff given to the police officer who killed him led to a contentious and heated Overland Park City Council meeting Monday night.
Citizens and protesters demanded an opportunity to speak on the subject, but instead talked over the meeting when denied that chance.
“Why are you talking about a pool, when a young boy was massacred in his own driveway,” Bob Hoffman said after speaking about seven minutes without council approval at the start of the meeting. "His mother is here with us right now."
"Officer, could you remove these two from the council chambers?” Overland Park Mayor Carl Gerlach directed police officers in response to Hoffman and another protester standing and speaking before the meeting.
Developing . . .
OPCC is trying to out white trash KCMOCC's black trash. PFFT! Politics, show business for the unattractive.
ReplyDeleteThe kid was driving like a drunken fool and could have killed someone. He was out of his head and apparently didnt care either. So the cop shot him. Case closed.
Delete^^Russian bot spamming every thread again.
ReplyDeleteRussian Bots! I love it. Maybe it's the tooth fairy.
DeleteIt was a terrible situation to begin with, I still think all the cops had to do was block the damn garage but instead they came shooting.
ReplyDeleteA no win situation anyway you look at it.
What happened is a sad thing. But if he hadn't been stopped and got down the road then slammed into some family driving down the same street, it'd be why didn't the police shoot him. Damned if you do damned if you don't.
ReplyDeleteExactly, had he left the drive way he would have became a danger to others and a liability to his parents insurance company.
DeleteThat’s why they should’ve had a car blocking the door, the mom told them he was getting in the car. The whole thing just sucks.
ReplyDeletethank you to the courageous protestors at the meeting.
ReplyDeletethis was a tragedy..
trying to hide the culpability is unacceptable.
DEFUND OP!
ReplyDeleteOPPD had been to this house several times because this kid was always in trouble. To make matters worse his mom is the Vice Principal at Harmony Middle School and every friend of mine that had kids at that school said she's nothing but a bitch. Maybe she should of tried being a better parent and person.
ReplyDeleteThe kid committed suicide by cop. End of story.
ReplyDelete^^Boring take. Do better.
ReplyDeleteChimpy! You're so jealous lol
DeleteThe Cops werent there because it was a great family situation. They also didn't choose to show up due to a clairvoyant crystal ball. Correct ?
ReplyDeleteThe kid had issues. Some folks simply are not wired properly; nobody's fault, just nature.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the parents called the police, the police came to assist and unfortunately the young man tried to run them over with the car.
Somebody said the police should have blocked the garage door; well the same could be said the parents should have hidden his car keys or blocked the garage door as well.
A terrible tragedy made worse by the parents trying to shift the blame on the police.
I find it interesting how the parents didn't try to physically contain the child but then hate the OPPD for doing it wrong when they did.
ReplyDeleteJust another set of parents who want to blame a tragic outcome on everyone but themselves.
They chose Adderall as the daycare provider
Delete^^^
ReplyDeleteBlaming the parents for the death of their son is disgusting. Do better Dave.
It's not society's job or the police department to parent the results of your baby batter.
ReplyDelete^^Zzzzzzzzz
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take a village, idiot.
ReplyDelete^^ you can do better too.
ReplyDelete9:11 can do better too but may not be capable.
ReplyDeleteperfectly reasonable to believe that parents can fuck up their kids.
ReplyDeleteparticularly in this vast shallow petty filthy suburban hell.
ReplyDelete9:11, whats the matter pussy the truth hurt? You do know by law all parents are responsible for their kids till they turn 18 or leave the home. The parents didn't do what should have been done and as a result their brat is dead.
ReplyDeleteYou can deal with your out-of-control teenager with the help of several measures.
Face the Mirror:
Is it you or is it your teen? Did you contribute to your teen’s troubled behavior? What makes your teen behave the way he does all of a sudden? You may also be in denial about your teenager out-of-control behavior. But this may not help anyone in similar situations. So, it may help you to observe and reflect on the whole situation. Get outside professional help and if need by place the child in a residential treatment center. Ignoring the warning signs is the sign of week parents unable to face the facts their child needs help or thinks their social status will take a hit if do place a child in treatment.
TL/DR...written by simpledave. Butt-hurt as usual.
ReplyDeleteAaww, Chimp/9:51, everyone knows you're mostly illiterate, severely dyslexic, and are afflicted with tourette's. This is only TWO sentences, so it's likely another TL/DR for YOU, dumb monkey!!
DeleteAnd the Demonrats were counting on that kid's vote. Now that he's taking a dirtnap I bet they get it.
ReplyDelete^^^Boring.
ReplyDeleteDid you run out of welfare bananas to "play" with, Chimp Simp/9:54?!
Delete^^Lame.
ReplyDeleteThis is the same group that continues to whine about the OPPD officers refusing to give their names and badge numbers during the 'peaceful protest' in OP a few weeks ago. Now they refuse to give their own names and one identifies herself (itself?) only as "Q" during this meeting.
ReplyDeleteThese are nothing but a bunch of bored revolutionary wanna-bes looking for a cause, any cause, to fight against. But they are getting braver. Instead of their usual spot they will soon be 'protesting' at 75th and Wornall! Such fortitude, being in that much of a hood. Not after dark, mind you. That would be too much. When they move to 75th and Prospect I'll start to be impressed.
Bandit Darville - but it does take a village idiot, and you clearly fill the bill.
ReplyDeleteSomeone take our village idiot. Please.
4 AM? Your love for him keeps you up nights. Ah, love.
DeleteCan the OPPD please do a welfare check on Bandit?
ReplyDeleteHe appears to be unstable and his posts indicate he is likely a danger.
Please feel free to make sudden moves.
Funny how many Parents I knew with severe Problemed Children in the past. Most of the Parents were in denial 24/7 and all were into blaming others for the actions of their children, and still are. Several turned out to murder, all career criminals and all got to see prison many times. Never heard any Parent take any responsibility , them or child. NEVER.
ReplyDeleteParents, handle your minor children by yourselves. Don't expect the police to do your job. Is the kid violent? FYI, the police are armed, and they are not going to risk their own lives at the hands of your whelp. So if you want the kid to live until tomorrow, do what needs to be done without police involvement.
ReplyDeletePolice are trained to shoot first and ask questions later. They cant just stand around and get killed trying to get answers during a investigation. Its always been that way. What else can they do?
