'Our lives are in danger': KCATA considering hazard pay for drivers, other workers
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - KCATA bus drivers say they want more protection amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Bus operators and mechanics are on the front lines, driving city buses and helping keep the city moving. Now, they're seeking hazard pay. Their concern is heightened because of what's happening at other transit agencies around the country.

Hazard pay isnt enough, the city and the ata think that 50 cents an hour is hazard pay, they won’t do anything about installing barriers or protective equipment other than thinner than paper masks that come from China that are probably worthless. The cities response to their own people is pathetic and dangerous. Unless you’re management who have been working from home since March....
For bus drivers, Covid 19 is the least of their hazards.
Hoe about the riders?
At least the virus probably isn't drunk and high and carrying a stolen gun.
Kansas City... Home of free shit and land of the spineless. Public transportation is great ain't it?
Bus drivers are heroes and deserve more respect than politicians and professional athletes.
Dog shit deserves more respect than politicians and professional athletes. Both are taxpayer subsidzed whores.
