TKC MUST READ!!! COMMUNITY WARNING URGES CAUTION AGAINST POLICE UNDER STRESS AS URBAN TENSIONS RISE AMID VIOLENT & DEADLY JULY 4TH WEEKEND!!!

As prayers continue for a young KCPD officer who suffered gunfire yesterday and local violence against police earned national news coverage . . .

Everyone agrees that the stress level confronting local law enforcement is at an all time high right now . . .

KSHB: Shootings of 2 officers Thursday takes emotional toll on KCPD

Hopefully, over the next few days local leaders will step up to normalize community relations. It's clear that Mayor Quinton Lucas doesn't have much credibility with police after his politically motivated "local control" double cross prevented him from showing up to the hospital where KCPD was camped out last night.

Still, the mayor's conciliatory tweet hasn't garnered much traction but might be a nice gesture overall:

"Earlier this week we failed a four-year-old and his family. Today we failed and I failed our officers and their families. We’ll grieve for some time, but tomorrow we remember our primary role in this community of keeping people safe."

Mere moments after this tweet was published the local homicide count hit #97.

"Police said a large crowd of people made the scene hard to control, but they were finally able to start their investigation a few hours later."

Meanwhile, an East side leader and resource for all of Kansas City shares practical advice that offers an important reflection on the current crisis . . . The words have been shared hundreds of times and are exceptionally noteworthy going into a very tense weekend:

"Listen very carefully ... Two Police Officers have been shot TODAY. Therefore the police will be on HIGH ALERT. If you are stopped or have an interaction with police DO NOT make sudden moves. Their stress level will be HIGH. Be sure to talk with your young people too. A metro bus driver, a woman was also shot today. My prayers for all those officers and the driver who was wounded."

On the record, Kansas City CRIME FIGHTER ALONZO WASHINGTON warns his tens of thousands of followers about rising tensions among the African-American community and local police.

In a recent tweet, he called out the leadership of Mayor Quinton Lucas and local anti-crime groups as he featured EXCLUSIVE photos of a showdown at last night's Prospect homicide scene . . .

Mr. Washington noted: "The Lack of leadership from Mayor Quinton Lucas & their stupid anti-crime groups are going to send the Black community and the police into war with no leadership to avoid it!!!"

Accordingly, these warnings offer more REAL TALK than anything any local news outlet can provide and so we share the info in order to provide a more accurate depiction of life on Kansas City streets.

  9. Lucas has been on the wrong side of this issue from the very beginning and for all the wrong reasons.
As outrageous as the death of George Floyd was, it had nothing to do with KCMO.
Lucas' desperate and constant need for TV and public appearances and his quest for celebrity made him decide to try to run to the front of the media-driven social media "movement" of BLM instead of providing some adult serious leadership in the town he nominally "governs".
The sad fact of KCMO is that there is ever-increasing black-on-black violence and homicides to a point there are 100 now at the middle of 2020.
    It's not "gun violence".
It has nothing to do with "police brutality".
"Defunding the police" is a silly empty irresponsible slogan.
All the marching and protest, looting, arson, and demands from people who haven't even taken the time to learn enough about what actually goes on is a waste of time. And, no, no-information people shouldn't be listened to.
KCMO is on a very sad and dangerous course and one that was readily avoidable.
A legacy that no one in elected office should want.

  10. HOW ABOUT SOME CONTEXT TO THIS PHOTO AND ALONZOS POST.

WHILE TRYING TO SECURE THE CRIME SCENE WHERE SOMEONE HAD JUST BEEN SHOT AND KILLED A LARGE GROUP BROKE THROUGH THE SCENE TAPE TO ATTACK OFFICERS AND DISRUPT THE SCENE AND EVIDENCE. IT WAS BAD ENOUGH THAT OFFICERS FROM KCPD AND SEVERAL OTHER DEPARTMENTS HAD TO RESPOND TO ASSIST. THIS WAS NOT AN INITIAL ACT BY THE POLICE BUT BY THIS LARGE GROUP.

THE LOCAL NEWS AND ALOZO FAILED TO OR CHOSE NOT TO REPORT THIS ASPECT OF THE INCIDENT.

HOW IS THIS HELPING ANYTHING? HOW IS THIS HELPING THAT VICTIM AND HIS FAMILY GET JUSTICE BY DISRUPTING THE SCENE AND AFFECTING EVIDENCE?

THIS CONTEXT IS NEEDED AND THIS POST BY ALONZO FAILS TO PROVIDE THAT AND ONLY ENCOURAGES RACIAL ISSUES AND MORE VIOLENCE WHEN THEY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS SCENE.

An all caps rant from a cop confirms that police are on edge.

      Chill.

The police are supposed to protect the public, not the other way around. We don't work for you. You signed up to do a very tough job and if you don't like it then it's time to find another career path. The voters have the strongest voice in our Democracy, not law enforcement.

I support police but this "back the badge and don't ever question us" is just straight up anti-American. It's our God given right to bitch and complain BECAUSE we are Americans!

I think what this situation calls for is chill, not some "fall in line" junk that most cops reject.

Really, people need to chill. There's no reason to be so angry about politricks, we're still pretty much screwed no matter who wins in November.

      Delete
    2. ^^ 6:33 you sound a little too chill. No one is saying give cops carte blanche on behavior. But try looking at it this way. Suppose your loved one was the person who was shot. The police set up perimeter tape to secure the crime scene as in a typical investigation. Suddenly a crowd, seemingly out of control, breaks that perimeter and compromises the crime scene and potential evidence.

This could negatively impact the investigation, the prosecution, and the outcome.

You claim the cop is supposed to protect us, not we them. I didn’t hear he was asking for protection but rather a simple request for people to respect the rules of a crime scene. But agitators and lots of protestors seem to have issues with rules.

You also mentioned as Americans, we have the right (freedom) to bitch. You’re right. That poster, whether he was a cop (which I doubt) or a regular citizen, has that same right. What he was complaining about was serious. Your cavalier command to “chill” was out of line.

      Delete
    3. Is that poster really that stupid?

A crime scene for a murder got compromised by clowns who lack self control or IQ's above 80 and you talk smack on the cops?

Can you actually read and write too? Or did you make that using voice activated applications?

      Delete
  11. Who the fuck is the mayor referring to when he said we failed the 4 year old killed and the cops being shot, because I did not fail anyone...it's the black thug community and their enablers at city hall and the fake black race baiter and huckster "leaders" that are failing kansas city.

In other words this is not a problem caused by whites, asians, hispanics...it is solely a black problem...

  12. The facts don’t support the national narrative around law enforcement today. The discourse surrounding law enforcement and minority relations is possibly one of the most important issues facing the country in modern times. Sadly, too many people would choose to distort the facts for their own political gains. But the facts don’t support their claims. I hope people will take moment to read the article below and educate themselves before jumping to conclusions about one group or the other.

Power and Light's next. Empty hotels in the killing quarter. Only bums on the train. When the backlash hits, AND IT WILL, your political dreams are down the toilet, and the once beautiful city is kaput. Well done democrats.

  14. Mayor Lucas is too coward to face the shot policeman in the hospital and his family?

What a cowardly, piece of shit of leadership the Mayor exhibits every day since the riots began.

The police were trying to protect crime victims in the black community on Van Brunt and was called for assistance by black citizens.

The good Mayor can take the time to kneel with the BLM / ANTIFA terrorists and lead their protests in the background but he cannot face the policeman who was SERVING HIS COMMUNITY.

This hatred against the police is really hatred against Whites, Asians, and Hispanics from a majority black community. Protect your families and neighborhoods from lawless Democrats.

Fuck the NFL, Mahomes and Reid for supporting these thugs killing a 4 year old and now shooting a policeman in the head. Take a knee you cowardly traitors to our country.

  15. This is on the mayor and city council. When you grant amensty for the thugs trashing the plaza, badmouth the police when trying to get "control" of the KCPD, and talk up this defunding of the police, you embolden the scum to do whatever they want, even more than doing what they think they can get away with.

Hey Mr. Mayor - because of you, they can get away with whatever they want because there won't be a functional police force. Good job, be sure you put that on your reelection literature.

Note to Mr. Baseball running Jackson County - this is a preview of what's coming for you genius. Be sure to tell Clark Hunt that he needs to get out of the statdium unless he changes the name of the Chiefs to the Pansies.... Then you can get on with the riots faster.

  18. I’m so confused right now. I see signs all over saying black lives matter. I’m just trying to figure out which black lives matter. It can’t be the unborn black babies. They are destroyed without a second thought. It’s not black cops. They don’t seem to matter. It’s not my black conservative friends. They are told to shut up if they know what’s best for them by their black counterparts. It’s not black business owners. Their property does not mean anything. It’s not blacks who fought in the military. Their statues are destroyed by the black lives matter protesters with disdain. So which black lives matter again?
Black Lives Matter. Of course they do! Then when multiple black police officers and individuals were killed during the “peaceful protests”. I don’t see any outrage? Black individually owned businesses burned to the ground. Silence. Deadliest weekend in Chicago. NOTHING!!

I can’t keep up. I just can’t. I’m exhausted trying to figure out what we’re all supposed to do, believe, and be offended and outraged by next.
Two months ago, First Responders were all the rage. In fact, they were heroes. We gave them free coffee, meals, and cheers as they drove by. Today, we hate them and want them defunded because they can’t be trusted.
Two months ago, truck drivers were the heroes, as well, for keeping America moving and the grocery stores stocked. Today we block the roads with protesters, drag them out of the cabs and beat them half to death.
Nurses and Doctors are still cool for now. But they may be unemployed. They too are heroes, unless of course they truly believe all lives matter. Then they’re filled with hate and are part of problem like so many others.

Just 45 days ago protests weren’t “essential” and were considered criminal, selfish and a murderous activity. Today they are gloriously critical and celebrated. All of the obvious criminal and murderous activities are simply ignored. If you protest about lock downs for freedom, you are selfish and you will spread a virus. If you protest, loot, and riot for social justice, you are a warrior and the virus fades to the background.

Trust the experts. No, not those experts. Don’t wear masks ... wear masks, but only good ones. Wait, don’t wear masks, wear anything as a mask. Never mind on the masks. Not sure, but if you don’t, you hate people because you could be an asymptomatic spreader. Wait. That's not a thing anymore?

For 3 months, NOTHING was more important than social distance. In fact, we gave up all of our liberties for it. We canceled schools, medical and dental procedures, yet allowed the murder of babies, canceled activities, closed businesses, eliminated every spring rite of passage from prom to graduation, denied people funerals, even at Arlington, and we wrecked the economy for it. Then came social justice, and social distance was no more. Now things are more cut and dried though. A thousand people at three memorials for someone they never even met. It's a matter of "respect". But you can only assemble 100 or less people.

I’m really confused now. Look at the data, NO, not that data. Do the math. No, you can’t do the math like that. Only the experts can understand the data and math. What do you mean other cities/states/governors are interpreting the data differently? Pools are safe in Indiana, but not Michigan? Playgrounds are safe in your town but not mine? Amusement parks are safe in Florida but not Ohio, nor Michigan.

If you are silent you are part of the problem. If you speak, you are part of the problem. If you have to ask, you don’t understand. If you don’t ask, you don’t

So, for now I pray. I pray God will heal our land and bless the United States of America! Bless us with Wisdom, Kindness, Gentleness, Mercy, Love, Peace and Healing. Things that Really Matter! We all Matter in God's Eyes!"

He spent tens of millions of dollars for that stupid ass place but it’s still a far better thing than 18th and vine, by a long shot. By the way, dopson went ape shit when the new zoo started back in 91 I think because he wanted a huge tennis complex in swope park instead of the “new zoo” he’s the reason why the zoo is so effed up because he stole probably twenty percent of the money the zoo was supposed to get.

Long story short is he built that complex without any approval from the taxpayers because.... he liked tennis and no one else did.

The police should always be regarded as "armed & dangerous" as a matter of caution, not judgement.

Like a pit bull, a lot depends on how they are trained, how they perceive that they're being treated.

Most police officers are heroes, but never forget they are armed with deadly force, with a football team's mentality.

Criminals are regarded as guilty until proven innocent, whereas the police really are regarded as innocent until proven guilty.
