Fox4: Missouri governor announces special session to focus addressing violent crime in state
Deets:
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missouri Governor Mike Parson announced Wednesday there will be a special session beginning July 27, to focus on addressing violent crime in the state.
“As Governor and a former law enforcement officer for more than 22 years, protecting our citizens and upholding the laws of our state are of utmost importance to my administration,”Parson said. “We know we have a serious problem with violent crime here in Missouri that must be addressed. Violent crime has been a problem in our state long before COVID-19, and we have seen it escalate even more in recent weeks, specifically in our big cities.
Parson went on to say Missouri has seen rapid increase in crime rates in 2020, primarily in urban areas.
Developing . . .
a dog & pony show?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!
The results aren't going to be what smiley selfies Lucas is hoping for.
ReplyDeleteNot with a law and order governor and a Republican legislature.
If KCMO wants to pay for a witness protection program they need to defund the fake nonprofits and redirect some money from the $20 million county COMBAT tax.
And there's already $25,000 rewards being offered by the "Crime Commission" with negligible results.
At the end of the day, having the feds in town for a while will end up making a much bigger difference.
Dey’s be needin mo monies cus Escalades is expensive!

"I like it when the kids rub the hair on my legs".
ReplyDelete"I'm Joe Biden and I want to be your President".
The top administration in KCMO needed to do something for years and now they need to be let go for not addressing it. People also need to stop making excuses for the behavior of certain groups of people. It never changes.
ReplyDeleteWho didn’t see this coming?
ReplyDeleteThe republicans always have to save the despicable dimwits from them selves.
Because we are the good guys that’s why!
Geee the I Cannot Breathe crew and BLM cannot fix their own problem ? Blacks killing blacks, so what ?
ReplyDeleteMore officers and more feds doesn't equate to lower crime. Just more officers to respond to crime scenes and maybe do some investigative work. The gangs in KC do not care about the police and more pressure will just mean more armed confrontations and more officers in ICU at Truman Medical Center.
ReplyDeleteIf you guys would just ask questions, the majority of criminal cases filed in Jackson County are drug charges. Very few new cases have anything to do with violent crime. The Police are not catching bad guys and the Prosecutor is not prosecuting. The Feds changed nothing because they have already been here as part of task forces.
Please crawl back under your rocks. Most of you don't live in Kansas City proper anyway.
"The U.S. Marshals Service will deploy additional deputy marshals to assist with a new anti-violence initiative in Kansas City, Missouri, with an emphasis on arresting those on the city’s most-wanted list."

That means violent criminals. Relax, your blunts and meth are safe.
Maybe Governor Mike Parson will move to remove Lucas as Mayor and put the whole city under state control.
ReplyDelete^^^and you don’t live in Missouri so nobody gives a damn what a barely functioning retard from Frogville thinks about anything. Go away!
ReplyDeleteWhere’s the MoDOT stooges forming a task force to talk about the increase in Highway deaths this year?
ReplyDeleteEasy goes there chigger/chimpy...
ReplyDelete5 people shot last night in St. Joseph. Locals here bury their heads in the sand and pretend it isn’t happening here. That’s what KC needs to do. Problem solved.

ReplyDeleteIf the Girl Scouts would sell more thin mint cookies there would be less homicides.

Parsons owns Lucas now. Lucas is so over his head it's beyond ludicrous.
ReplyDeleteMissouri doesn't have a violent crime problem.
ReplyDeleteAreas in MO controlled by Dems with a high percentage of blacks have a violent crime problem.
Black lives, you know.... the thing!
ReplyDeleteTrump claims he will announce federal action next week against 'liberal left-wing Democrats' who have 'lost control of cities'
ReplyDeleteRuh Roh I bet Smiley Lucas won't like that.
Plain and simple Quinton Lucas got played by the governor. Again.
ReplyDeleteLucas did it to himself. He thought he was gonna pull a Je$$e Jack$on shakedown. The governor just answered his request literally by having the feds help. Bet he won't try that one again!
