Coin shortage causing headaches for Kansas City metro merchants
MISSION, Kan. - Americans are sitting on a pile of coins as more merchants say they're having trouble accepting cash payments because they can't make change. Chick-Fil-A restaurants in some states are giving customers free food if they bring in rolls of coins to exchange.
How can there be a cash shortage when I see cash drawers at stores full of it?
ReplyDeleteo.k. I give up. how?
ReplyDeleteWhat is this...this...Cash you speak of? You mean dirty, grimy, COVID-19 paper and metal? Never use the stuff.
ReplyDeleteI was at Chipotle around 91st n Metcalf and they couldn't make ANY loose change so they rounded me up from 33c to the next dollar in their favor. I called the cashier on it and he said it was what the manager told him to do.
ReplyDeleteI thought they should round up at 51c and told the cashier so. My GF thought I was being a jerk over 67c. I tried to explain the principle of the matter, how people get ripped of one LIBOR basis point at a time, and pretty soon it adds up to millions. In the end I just paid with my debit card.
^^well you are a jerk and you don't have a girlfriend. There. Fixed it for you.
ReplyDeleteTotal lack of common cents.
