Actually, this problem has been YEARS IN THE MAKING as this part of the city simply doesn't get the same level of interest and advocacy as other parts of the metro yet they cope with more densely crowded neighborhoods and a housing shift from single-family homes to apartments . . . Take a look:

  9. There seems to be a spike in homicides within a short distance of the Cerner complex. Seems that "economic development" is no match for our criminals.
