TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL!!! KANSAS CITY CHURCHES REOPEN AS PREZ TRUMP ORDER CREATES CRISIS OF CONSCIENCE FOR PROGRESSIVE CHRISTIANS!!!

Politics, science and a leap of faith confront Christians this Sunday in Kansas City and throughout the nation.

The dilemma . . .

PREZ TRUMP ORDERING CHURCH REOPEN TESTS OF THE FAITH OF HIS CRITICS!!!

Here are just a few moral dilemmas that this brilliant political posturing evokes . . .

True believers in MAGA and the Big JC still confront the same risks as everyone else.

Authorities continue to advise against large gatherings.

Many Democratic Party loyalists desperately want to return to church but rebuke any command from the President on the topic of faith & morals.

Meanwhile, traditional conservatives who advocate small government and a separation betwixt Church & State bristle at the faith-based edict from the Commander-In-Chief which sets a dangerous precedent of White House control over religious institutions.

And so, to help unpack this Sunday soul searching, we share these national and local news links to contemplate . . .

Closing churches is the left-wing, communist Democrat Party (and CNN) trying to end religion in the United States. Lenin, Stalin etc. closed churches as they realized people having faith in God was a threat to their tolatarian regimes.

  35. People have common sense. You dont see Christians, Jews, Buddists, Muslims crossing streets without looking both ways for cars. They are smart enough to stay home from a place like a church until the virus is gone. If you have really faith in your salvation, and your religion, not going to church is not going to hurt you in any way. Use the phone to call other church members, watch sermons on TV. Really people its not complicated.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The Catholics cancelled their Mass for the dead? That means the dead has to stay in purgatory even longer, before they can get out and go to heaven. Every Mass brings them closer to salvation and heaven. Or does it? Could it be that purgatory doesnt exist, its fake, and its an old revenue generation tool from the 14th century? That means there is just Heaven or Hell. And since good works, infant baptism, rosary beads, Prayers to a long dead Mary, confessions to priests and endulgences cant get you into heaven, then Catholics go to hell. So why do Masses for them anyway? There is no purgatory - Jesus knew everything and he never mentioned it once. Not once. The Catholic church is a false religion of traditions and cultish beliefs. Catholics do not have a personal relationship with the Savior - so they are not saved. Mary is dust in her grave, she will arise on judgement day and be really pissed of that people prayed to her rather than her son. Catholics are distant and unhappy people - cause none have any guarentee of ever going to heaven. its all unknown.

  40. >If you have really faith in your salvation, and your religion, not going to church is not going to hurt you in any way.

I guess if you have no actual knowledge of moral theology, the ten commandments, or sin a claim like that might make sense. If you knew anything about sacramental Christianity you might not even say anything so blindingly stupid as this.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sacramental Christianity? Really? People still believe in that hocus pocus stuff? The criminal on the cross next to Christ got saved. He wasnt in church. He probably never attended a church. He was never baptized, or took communion. A matter of fact his arms and legs were nailed to the cross and he was delirous in pain, nearing death. He probably had a long criminal record and even murdered people. But Christ said he would be with him that day in Heaven.

These traditions will not give you salvation : childhood baptism, communion, church attendance, tithing, teaching sunday school, rosary beds, confessions to a priest, prayers to Mary, Prayers to Saints, or indulgences. Only the imputation of Christ's grace will give you salvation. The other traditions on man will send you on a fast track to hell. Many people take communion and end up in hell because they never really became a christian.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Roman Catholics are not Christians. They feel Christ was a total failure, and can't save them from hell. So they must work their way to heaven. Mary was a success, so they pray to her rather than God. What a farce. Jesus was a failure? So you have to work your way to heaven? Really?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Really 5:00 p.m. Spoken by a true WASP or atheist. Guess you have never attended a Catholic wedding, reception or wake and shared merriment with Irish, Italians, Poles and Germans drinking and having a good time.

    ReplyDelete
  44. So how did the criminal on the Cross get to heaven that day, and actually be with Jesus, if he never was baptized or took communion? Looks like sacramental events do not confer saving grace. God saves who he desires. I know plenty of people who attend church that go thru the motions that are going straight to hell.

  45. 6:15 - hey I have been to many Catholic events. Booze and getting bombed is such a big deal. But didnt Christ list all the types of people that WILL NOT inherit heaven? Jesus said "those who are drunk with wine" will not see heaven. I didnt make it up - Jesus said it. Dont call him a liar by trying to refute it. If people have to drink during religious events then something is wrong. "Do not be drunk with wine": Jesus Christ.

    ReplyDelete
  46. The Catholic Council of Trent (Concilium Tridentinum) clearly states that Jesus is powerless to save you from hell. The Council of Trent states that if you believe Jesus alone can offer salvation, then you are anathema - (excommunicated). The Catholic Church has not resended this doctrine. You must carefully follow the outline of works to be done in order to have any chance of going to heaven someday. You will not know your true eternal fate until after you die. Remember, faith alone cannot save you. You must work your way to heaven. If you do a mortal sin, you must go back to square one and start all over. Even the Pope does not trust in Jesus alone to save him. He prays to Mary.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Well I lost all respect for the Catholics when I majored in history and learned that Popes gained their positions by murdering each other. Poison was common. Or knives were used. Sometimes bribery. What kind of religion is that?

A whole lot of violent "disrespecting" of other beliefs taking place in that rather unpopular part of the bible.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Well its is ok to bash false religions. Jesus did it. Often. He told religious leaders straight to their face they were going to hell. Told the highest leaders they were from the devil and called them serpents. He even beat up the money changers in the temple and trashed their businesses. You not doing anyone a favor by ignoring or pretending something as deadly as a false religion is "ok" and they have the freedom to believe it under current USA laws. If you disagree - then pray now to Jesus and tell him that he was WRONG and you are RIGHT - that you disagree with his telling people they were on the wrong track. That USA laws allow people to follow any religion, not his religion. See what happens when you face him in the next few decades....

  52. The biggest wars in history were religious wars.
Today- big congregations are losing tons of money and need people back to pray.
The preachers could get behind in their 2nd and third homes and lux cars as they practice being modest.

The old ladies need to tithe hard to leave inheritances to big mega churches and going to church and getting Covad will speed it up.

Guess the mega churches know what they are doing with getting people back.

    Clever war mongers.
