JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF FORTÉ CAMPAIGNS AS REFORMER!!! SLAMS DEPARTMENT CULTURE & PREDECESSOR!!!

As we noted earlier in the week, Sheriff Forté isn't getting much help in his reelection bid from his colleagues in law enforcement.

Accordingly . . .

THE JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF SLAMS THE DEPARTMENT & HIS PREDECESSOR IN RECENT TWEETS PROMISING REFORM!!!

The first in the series is pretty innocuous and somewhat hopeful but still points out a need for greater accountability . . .

"To continue to build much needed trust in the community I’m requesting MSHP investigate internal criminal matters as well as officer involved shootings. MSHP investigated most recent OIS. We want a trusted and respected sheriff’s office."

And then, he offers some shocking deets regarding local law enforcement . . .

"Why would anyone trust and respect @JCSheriffOffice when unreported, known wide spread internal theft, favoritism, sexual harassment and discrimination was commonplace? I respectfully ask for your patience as we earn your trust and respect. We’re trying!"

In response to a few questions about his tenure he lets loose in his reply . . .

"You have no idea what we’ve accomplished. The sheriff’s office wasn’t rendered dysfunctional overnight so don’t expect miracles in two years. Don’t buy into the hype of those who don’t want us to succeed. Office was disgraced. Former sheriff’s girlfriend charged w/theft."

Accordingly . . .

Some suggest the Sheriff's tougher tone in tweets regarding the upcoming primary election could represent his fear of an upset from former Sheriff Sharp but it's far more likely that opposition from fellow law enforcement officials and colleagues might have inspired this Twitter storm.

Developing . . .

The Overtime King. He is a really shitty law enforcement officer.

He’s trying to protect his kingdom and wealth, not do his job. That’s why he’s hated amongst the dept. the dumb fuck is doing the same shit that he did with kcpd, disappear for weeks on end, no way to contact him. Same ole mooch.

With these two candidates, the only sure thing about the election is that either way, the taxpayers and residents of Jackson County lose big time.

He turned the Sheriff’s patrol into a bunch of Brownshirt lockdown enforcers. I am sure that his deputies LOVED going around and threatening mom and pop stores to shutdown or else. They really excelled in their duties when they stopped the Bass Pro store from selling anything but firearms. That was Sheriff Forte cleaning up dysfunction.

Yeah, but we already knew Forte was a classless, corrupt piece of shit.

Anybody but Forte

Mr Forte is lost. He has not a clue of his duties as Sheriff . He can not grasp that he was elected to the highest office of law enforcement in the county. He cowards to county commissioners and his buddy Frank can I borrow a buck White. Our deputies deserve a sheriff they can be proud of. Forte isn't the guy. He has turned the sheriffs dept into a PC correct facebook show and forgot about law enforcement . Our deputies and the people of Jackson county deserve better. Get out and vote this marshmallow out of the office he doesn't deserve.

It is true that Sharp left Forte a very corrupt department but Forte hasn’t made corrections as he has lead on to have done.

1. Deputy Lauren Michaels, the female deputy who was charged with shooting two people killing one, and who was by the department being less than truthful has never been denounced by Forte and has never been officially terminated. She is still on the departments roster and licensed with the State. Forte knew or should have known that this deputy was dangerous before the second shooting and did nothing.

2. A female sergeant was recently promoted to Captain by Forte even though she has been complained about internally for being discriminatory toward a black officer and that black officer has a pending lawsuit. See Darks vs Jackson County.

3. Forte has constantly praised commanders on twitter knowing these same commanders knew about Sharps illegal and unethical activity and did nothing to stop
It. A Captain for example knew Sharp had people on the payroll who never showed up to work including Sharps campaign manager. None of these commanders received discipline.

4, There are guns and equipment missing from the department and to date nobody has been held responsible for theft.

5. Forte has an ex KCPD Officer on the department as a reserve who killed someone in KC and was sued for wrongful death.

6. Forte has a sergeant who was fired from Raytown PD when a pursuit caused a car crash that killed someone.

7. Forte kept an officer on the force that paralyzed a guy in a car chase in Raytown when he hit the victims car without lights and siren. The officer was convicted of careless driving and placed on a years probation and allowed to continue to drive department vehicles endangering the public.

I could go on and on and some of this stuff was started by Sharp but Forte must do something about it and he hasn’t

Let’s talk about hiring. In the last few months Forte has hired two black males, one Asian male and one white female. It would be interesting to know if they really were the most qualified in the applicant pool or was it affirmative action.

Sharp and Forte are scumbags, but I'll take the lesser of two evils, Forte.
