This is all very informative and comprehensive but you forgot one thing:
ReplyDeleteGO CHIEFS!!!
Don't be a debbie downer. This is a good time and something for people to look forward to. Typical writer, not everything needs to have deep meaning. Don't overlook the power of a good time.
DeleteAgree that everything will be shut down after noon. Turns out this city can't walk and chew gum at the same time.
DeleteWonder if anybody has crunched the numbers on how much booze and BBQ KC is selling today. There's your economic impact! A lot of smart and hard working people will be making a lot of money today.
ReplyDeleteI think what you might have overlooked is that all of this "hype" flies right in the face of Presidnt Trump's statement that fans have abandoned the NFL. A lot of people will be tuned into today and supporting their team.
ReplyDeleteAgree with first comment, it bears repeating TKC:
ReplyDeleteGO CHIEFS
^^^^ +1
DeleteTrolling the trolls and posting more questions after to piss off the some of your snow flake readers.
ReplyDeleteI like.
I am ok with everyone having a good time.
ReplyDeleteHell, I would love to party with Hunter Biden, that guy pulls some major tail and knows where the laughs are.
I think the community as a whole has a good time when local teams do well.
That said, we should, as tax payers, NOT have to roll the dice on subsidizing rich Pro Team Owners with stadiums.
https://www.cato.org/publications/commentary/surprise-stadiums-dont-pay-after-all
Clark Hunt is not gonna put any gas in my beat up old van so I can get to a job and pull wire for a new circuit and hang TVs on the wall.
They can pay their own fuckin way just like I do.
If the Chiefs lose, my wife will morph into a hateful knucklehead.
ReplyDeleteOh, wait.
Oh gawd do we have to look at this bullshit all day.
ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to some celebratory gunfire tonight!
ReplyDeleteGO CHIEFS!!!
Go 49ers
ReplyDeleteI agree 100% with what Chuck says.
ReplyDeleteIf the Chiefs win okay so be it. It isn't going to change anyone's life at all other than a Chiefs player, owners, and local retail stores. Simply put, the vast majority of us will not see anything change in our personal lives at all. Now just imagine if you have spent thousands on this few hours of entertainment and they lose. Thirty days from now most of those people will be looking back at it going wow that was dumb thinking. People get all hung up in the hype and do some really stupid things.
No matter what most of us will wake up come Monday morning have a cup of coffee before heading out to work making the same money that we did last week our job will still be the same and the bills will arrive in the mail just like they have in the past. People may die on the streets in the metro area tonight rather the Chiefs win or lose it won't stop anyone from being a victim of crime or death. Sorry if reality is just a little to heavy for you all but that really is the reality of it all.
Love the chiefs, I can live with the hype. Maybe we can have a good time and that'll help us recharge and deal with bigger problems.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter if the chiefs win or lose wives and children will be beaten today!
Reasons...If they lose or drunkenness. Only the lowest form of scum support the NFL. How quickly everyone forgets.
^^^Heard that old saying Wish in one hand and shit in the other?
ReplyDeleteHey geezers (chuck, dave) 101.1 FM is rebroadcasting the 1969 Super Bowl right now, so go listen and remember back to a time when your dicks worked.
ReplyDeleteWill the National Anthem Curse be broken? I kind of doubt it. The big money, movers and shakers want the 49ers to win so look for the refs to make things difficult for the Chiefs.
ReplyDeleteChiefs.will.lose.
ReplyDeleteGo San FrancisGOOOOOOOO!
ReplyDeletewell..I will be able to cash wagers I made early and mid-season on the Chiefs winning the SB at 7-1, and at 4-1.
Go CHIEFS!
It won't improve my life one iota but for one lovely, blessed moment in time we aren't talking about impeachment, lazy worthless politicians, the pot holes, the airport, the street car, the murders, the virus, the tanking markets, the gd weather, property taxes, incoming tax season, more murders and wasted, wasted tax dollars.
ReplyDeleteCan we all just for a moment in time eat our weight in cheese, toss a few back and high five friends and strangers alike as though we personally had a hand in this? Can we not have an oasis of joy over inconsequence before we get back to the grind?
Go Chiefs!
Stupid Dave, you don’t even live in KC!!!! Quit posting about KC! Tonight, when the game’s on, go prove your vagina with a chainsaw with the rest of the losers.
ReplyDelete^^^"prove your vagina" ??
ReplyDeletePut down the pipe before you type.

Delete^^ Yea, the Celtics should really change their name so they don't offend the Irish-Americans.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your service to Missouri, Mr. Turner. Your posts help us all understand what a good person you are.
ReplyDeleteAlso the next time you troll obsessively about some MODOT dude just because you don't like roundabouts or flyover interchanges or he ran over your dog or whatever the fuck you've got your panties in a bunch about, remember MODOT email addresses end in modot.mo.gov, ok? Ok.
ReplyDeleteMUCK FIZZOU
ReplyDeletelate money coming in on Niners-- down to Chiefs -1..hmmm
ReplyDelete12:23 you flaming idiot, 90% of the Chiefs fans don't live in Kansas City either. You is no doubt one stupid mofo who has no business saying another is stupid.
ReplyDelete^^^Except that you are stupid. Weird.
ReplyDelete@2:20 Stupidity knows no bounds and certainly has no limits when it comes to you, but by and large, 99 percent of the people who come to TKC are relatively well behaved till you come along and fuck it all up. FACT
ReplyDeleteI hope they lose cuz if they have that parade on Wednesday it goes right by my business and I will be forced to close for the day. I get no revenue or business from anything related to football. My employees can't get too work, my customers can't get to me. Who will make up my lost income for that day?
ReplyDeleteALL SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS, EQUITY PROPONENTS, BLACK LIVES MATTER, CLIMATE CHANGE ACTIVISTS, AND LIBERAL SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS ARE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND ON SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS = while the Superbowl is all about MONEY, the SJW's sit on their ass, watch the game, and eat/drink like everybody else.
EQUITY PROPONENTS = racial minorities, economically disadvantaged, and the scholastically-challenged don't dare protest/picket the Superbowl and risk becoming social pariahs.
BLACK LIVES MATTER = yes, a small number of gifted black athletes benefit economically from NFL employment contracts, but ownership and management remain predominately out of their hands.
CLIMATE CHANGE ACTIVISTS = Miami area airports have been inundated this week with an onslaught of commercial/private fossil-fuel guzzling aircraft. Where's teenage actor Greta Thunberg when it counts?
LIBERAL SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS = All current candidates for the Democratic nomination are tax-the-rich wealth redistribution proponents yet conspicuously silent on the Superbowl spectacle.
HYPOCRITES UNITED!!!!
I see a semi-local slumlord and wins the Ford Hall of Fans award. To bad people don't know what slumlords her and her husband are. So sad when people like that win anything that's suppose to be a reflection of Kansas City. Top it off they don't even live in Kansas City or have a business here. They treat their tenants so bad at one location on New Years Eve the people in the house started getting sick and light headed and after calling 911 the first responders coming in the house were wearing CO-2 monitors that started going off. The furnace was so old it was leaking carbon monoxide into the house. Who knows how long as the rental house had no detectors in it. Lucky these people didn't die. Then the people living there had to deal with no heat for a total of 4 days and no hot water longer than that till repairs were made. Only person who would do the work was some guy who does HVAC work on the side to get a unit installed because as your typical slumlords they don't pay their bills. The Carbajo's have burned all bridges with any local repair people due to no pay for work done or dragging their feet for ever to pay. No matter what the media and Bio's say these are not the nice people you are lead to believe they are. A local news station need to investigate what a farce this so called fan is. Her husband is know by all as Slumlord Tom. Honest truth people go to where they live and ask how to find Slumlord Tom from the locals and see what they tell you.
ReplyDeleteThat opening about America was absolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteI bet bLIEron is ready to kill himself since he hates America so much
Pothole Bowl 2020
ReplyDeleteSan Fran picks tails! That’s funny right there! Hahahahaha!!
ReplyDelete^^^ No, we should kick yours for constantly foisting your obsession with this guy (whoever the hell he is) on all of us!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened, did he find a better boyfriend and kick your pissy little ass out the door?
^^^ are you nuts?
ReplyDeleteHalftime show was two women with a combined age of 93, just..... awful
ReplyDeleteMeh, it was okay. I am all of ladies of all ages shaking it!
DeleteI hope KC looses so KC will focus on more important issues, like avoiding bankruptcy of the local government...
ReplyDeleteWell, suckers We bleeping won!!
ReplyDeleteMy end of town sounds like a freakin war zone!
ReplyDeleteTRUMP WINS !!!!!!!
ReplyDelete^^^^ Finally, somebody made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteTrump loses Pennsylvania.
Trump loses Michigan.
Trump loses Ohio.
Jay-Z and Beyonce ended their careers tonight.
ReplyDeleteTraitors sat thru the national anthem.
I had a realization this evening just now. Do you know what pisses you people off about this?
ReplyDeleteRegular, decent, every day people are going about their lives, enjoying things that are important in their lives, and it has nothing to do with you, and that pisses you off.
No shortage of obnoxious idiots in Killa' Shitty obviously.
ReplyDeleteYou will drink bitter tears in November.
ReplyDeleteTRUMP WILL BE VICTORIOUS!
Good for Kansas City. I hope the citizens are happy. Don't shoot anyone at the parades. Don't park your cars downtown.
ReplyDeleteWe won and do we like get a dividend from Hunt family or something? Fuck, Jackson County residents did pay for the stadium and later renovations. Nah, we just give them more of our money from a job most of us hate. Pro sports are on the decline. Twenty years from now it will be a video game or virtual reality game tournament after so many concussions. Notice how quickly the Hard Rock Stadium emptied after we won? So enjoy the parade Wednesday and back to work, plebs.
ReplyDelete^^Blah blah blah...your tears are so salty!!! Chiefs win!!! You lose!!!!!
