  3. I think what you might have overlooked is that all of this "hype" flies right in the face of Presidnt Trump's statement that fans have abandoned the NFL. A lot of people will be tuned into today and supporting their team.

Hell, I would love to party with Hunter Biden, that guy pulls some major tail and knows where the laughs are.

I think the community as a whole has a good time when local teams do well.

That said, we should, as tax payers, NOT have to roll the dice on subsidizing rich Pro Team Owners with stadiums.

Clark Hunt is not gonna put any gas in my beat up old van so I can get to a job and pull wire for a new circuit and hang TVs on the wall.

  10. I agree 100% with what Chuck says.

If the Chiefs win okay so be it. It isn't going to change anyone's life at all other than a Chiefs player, owners, and local retail stores. Simply put, the vast majority of us will not see anything change in our personal lives at all. Now just imagine if you have spent thousands on this few hours of entertainment and they lose. Thirty days from now most of those people will be looking back at it going wow that was dumb thinking. People get all hung up in the hype and do some really stupid things.

No matter what most of us will wake up come Monday morning have a cup of coffee before heading out to work making the same money that we did last week our job will still be the same and the bills will arrive in the mail just like they have in the past. People may die on the streets in the metro area tonight rather the Chiefs win or lose it won't stop anyone from being a victim of crime or death. Sorry if reality is just a little to heavy for you all but that really is the reality of it all.

  11. Love the chiefs, I can live with the hype. Maybe we can have a good time and that'll help us recharge and deal with bigger problems.

It won't improve my life one iota but for one lovely, blessed moment in time we aren't talking about impeachment, lazy worthless politicians, the pot holes, the airport, the street car, the murders, the virus, the tanking markets, the gd weather, property taxes, incoming tax season, more murders and wasted, wasted tax dollars.

Can we all just for a moment in time eat our weight in cheese, toss a few back and high five friends and strangers alike as though we personally had a hand in this? Can we not have an oasis of joy over inconsequence before we get back to the grind?

    Go Chiefs!

  32. ALL SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS, EQUITY PROPONENTS, BLACK LIVES MATTER, CLIMATE CHANGE ACTIVISTS, AND LIBERAL SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS ARE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND ON SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!!!!

SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIORS = while the Superbowl is all about MONEY, the SJW's sit on their ass, watch the game, and eat/drink like everybody else.

EQUITY PROPONENTS = racial minorities, economically disadvantaged, and the scholastically-challenged don't dare protest/picket the Superbowl and risk becoming social pariahs.

BLACK LIVES MATTER = yes, a small number of gifted black athletes benefit economically from NFL employment contracts, but ownership and management remain predominately out of their hands.

CLIMATE CHANGE ACTIVISTS = Miami area airports have been inundated this week with an onslaught of commercial/private fossil-fuel guzzling aircraft. Where's teenage actor Greta Thunberg when it counts?

LIBERAL SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS = All current candidates for the Democratic nomination are tax-the-rich wealth redistribution proponents yet conspicuously silent on the Superbowl spectacle.

    HYPOCRITES UNITED!!!!

  33. This is the truth Ruth!2/2/20, 4:05 PM

I see a semi-local slumlord and wins the Ford Hall of Fans award. To bad people don't know what slumlords her and her husband are. So sad when people like that win anything that's suppose to be a reflection of Kansas City. Top it off they don't even live in Kansas City or have a business here. They treat their tenants so bad at one location on New Years Eve the people in the house started getting sick and light headed and after calling 911 the first responders coming in the house were wearing CO-2 monitors that started going off. The furnace was so old it was leaking carbon monoxide into the house. Who knows how long as the rental house had no detectors in it. Lucky these people didn't die. Then the people living there had to deal with no heat for a total of 4 days and no hot water longer than that till repairs were made. Only person who would do the work was some guy who does HVAC work on the side to get a unit installed because as your typical slumlords they don't pay their bills. The Carbajo's have burned all bridges with any local repair people due to no pay for work done or dragging their feet for ever to pay. No matter what the media and Bio's say these are not the nice people you are lead to believe they are. A local news station need to investigate what a farce this so called fan is. Her husband is know by all as Slumlord Tom. Honest truth people go to where they live and ask how to find Slumlord Tom from the locals and see what they tell you.

Nah, we just give them more of our money from a job most of us hate. Pro sports are on the decline. Twenty years from now it will be a video game or virtual reality game tournament after so many concussions. Notice how quickly the Hard Rock Stadium emptied after we won? So enjoy the parade Wednesday and back to work, plebs.
