Quick real estate note as even MSM doesn't like reminding locals that this LUXURY living space is getting $17.5 million subsidy the city has agreed to pay for a parking garage for Three Light. Here's more hype:
Power & Light District set to break ground on Three Light Apartments
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City's Power & Light District will begin its latest residential expansion later this year. The district tweeted Friday that construction will begin on Three Light Apartments this summer. As if this week couldn't get any more exciting...

ReplyDeleteMeanwhile....Potholes get deeper WTF!!!!

ReplyDeleteYep you got it right potholes getting worse with no chance of getting them fixed and no affordable housing for those who were crying for it and promised to get it. Guess what it's not going to happen for you as a matter of fact more landlords everyday have put their houses on the market because of the new Hitler laws Lucas has put on everyone. You will have to move to Grandview or Independence to get a lower rent rate. In the meantime statistics show KC has business and jobs leaving at record numbers. Lucas has a field of dreams build it and they will come. ROFLMAO
^^^TL/DR. Be concise, or be gone.
ReplyDeleteHey SHEEPLE, Keep getting reamed by rich developers...keep DemonCraps in office...it will just keep getting WORSE...Wake Up Sheeple! Hold them accountable, if you don't stand up and get them out of office, you'll keep getting bent over!!!
ReplyDeleteno property taxes for 25 years?! Fuck wits.
ReplyDeleteI would not be surprised if they were torn down in 25 years:
"One developer calls glass-walled condos "throw-away buildings" because of their short lifespan relative to buildings with walls made of concrete or brick." https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/throw-away-buildings-toronto-s-glass-condos-1.1073319
"Glass walls have been popular among developers and consumers alike because they’re cheaper than more traditional materials and make a good first impression. But they aren’t energy-efficient and come with a hidden price that could soar down the road, engineers say." same article.
ReplyDelete"Many of the glass condominium towers filling up the Toronto skyline will fail 15 to 25 years after they’re built, perhaps even earlier, and will need retrofits costing millions of dollars, say some industry experts." same article as above.

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/older-condos-plagued-by-high-maintenance-costs-2014-06-12
"For over a decade [2 decades now}, progressive design professionals have questioned the durability and life cycle performance of glass condo towers. There is no definitive requirement for durability in the building code, certainly not one that prescribes the useful service life of various components, such as window walls."
assholes.
and now ya got your new glass walled airport. time will tell. dipposhittos. Not wise to rip down the other two terminals.
