Mayor Lucas rolls out pardoning process for those with municipal marijuana charges in KC
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Mayor Quinton Lucas has officially rolled out the pardoning process for those with municipal marijuana convictions. "I am so excited that we have the opportunity to introduce what I think is a game-changer, frankly, in how local government addresses criminal justice and, frankly, criminal justice reform," Lucas said Tuesday.
Oh it'll be a game changer for sure.

ReplyDeleteA lot of the simple possession convictions were pleaded down from drug trafficing charges. No indication whether Lucas is going to exclude those cases from his pardon policy. If he does not, he will be freeing a bunch of drug dealers. I doubt he cares.
