TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! 12TH & OAK CRACKS DOWN ON RACIAL BIAS LAWSUIT THREATS AMID NEW CITY MANAGER JOB SEARCH!!!
New Year's 2020 resolution, we want to provide more follow-up and updates on evolving local stories.
Background:
Last year TKC broke news on racial bias complaints confronting Kansas City given that new Mayor & Council have indicated they prefer to hire and African-American female as the new City Manager. WE STAND BY THAT REPORTING!!!
Now after our news blast . . .
CITY LEGAL AND KCMO LEADERS ARE INCORRECTLY SEARCHING FOR ANY LAWSUIT THREATS AND SCRUTINIZING THE WRONG PEOPLE!!!
So far we've heard back that they've harassed at least a couple of applicants who WERE NOT GOING TO FILE SUIT and they're scouring their office communications looking for any proposed threats to their compromised upcoming hire. Sadly, the hapless 12th & Oak WITCH HUNT doesn't realize that our blog community is BIGGER than their bubble and once again they're PICKING ON THE WRONG GUYS. Admittedly, the plight of the handful of middle-class "suburban" workers in City Hall doesn't concern TKC too much given that outrage over alleged racism against whites isn't as big of a problem as the threat of climate change to the world's coffee supply . . . But again, I'm trying to be nice(r) in 2020 and don't want the wrong people getting hassled.
Here are the facts:
There is evidence that KCMO wants to pick an African-American female for the job in order to achieve "transformative" inclusion. And yes, this move has met with objections over alleged racial bias. BUT the woebegone city hall crackdown targeting the innocent FAILS to realize that even this blog's constant complaining has already ruined their party.
To wit . . .
OF COURSE TKC CHAMPIONS LOCAL DIVERSITY AND HOPES THE MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATE EARNS THE NEW CITY MANAGER JOB!!!
These ideas are not mutually exclusive even if leaders at 12th & Oak CONTINUE TO TOUT RACIAL PREFERENCE OVER QUALIFICATIONS.
Forgive the inside baseball but the oppressive tactics that rule municipal government are hard to ignore.
Meanwhile . . .
Speaking of City Manager goodness . . .
Today there was a dramatic THUD for the honorary "Troy Schulte Way" street that we reported FIRST.
It seems that the former city manager doesn't have as many fans outside of his office as he believed and AWESOME TKC READERS even pushed back a little.
And so the search for a new 12th & Oak leader continues . . .
Diversity misapprehensions and bad debt top the agenda for people in the know whilst the plebs are either distracted by partisan bickering on TV or promises of big economic payoffs that never quite materialize . . .
Developing . . .
If you really know inside baseball, you might realize that TKC wants a Latino candidate and already is pushing an agenda of his own.
ReplyDeleteDid I put an application here too? I've got'em everywhere. Either this place or McDonald's. Whoever calls back first!
Delete^^^^ +100
DeleteLulz!
I don't see any original reporting in that link...just an unsourced, unsubstantiated statement.
DeleteBut yeah, stand by it.
Could have saved yourself some time here TKC. Just wrote the headline: KCMO City Hall hates their white workers. That is a true statement and nobody would have doubted you are gotten hassled. Instead, you just offered more proof that this place has a horrible working environment.
ReplyDelete^^^ +15,000
DeleteGo be a KCMO garbage man, since throwing around random crap other people have discarded as useless is what you're good at.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet you're here reading his posts within less than an hour of publishing. Weird.
DeleteDo not name a street after Troy Schulte. He doesn't deserve that honor because he helped to bankrupt Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteDysfunctional Kansas City government at it's best. Not weird at all.
ReplyDeleteShow some evidence or stfu
ReplyDeleteNo, no discrimination against white exists against whites at all. That's just a myth nick. City Hall has always been a place of racial harmony. All of the discrimination complaints over the past years are fake news. You go on believing whatever you want NicK. You're just a special snowflake! And your feelings are more important than the facts.
DeleteI think we should name Cliff Drive as the Honorary Troy Schulte way! Maybe then they would clean up all of the illegal dumping of dead bodies and other garbage.
ReplyDelete^^^ God don't make no trash! Recycle your hate, bitch!
DeleteKc government has been racist towards whites for a number of years now, it’s true. I know people who get harassed and belittled constantly because they are white, do you know why? Because they show up to work and actually do their job, the problem with that is the black workers A- don’t want to do anything and get away with it and B- since white people do their work it intimidates their black bosses who think they’re after their job and write’m up as trouble makers, think about that for a minute, getting wrote up and harassed for doing their jobs. Kc government is nothing but a welfare check with benefits for black people who do nothing to earn it.
ReplyDeleteWe probably need some white people in charge of the city. Shit's been going downhill and black leaders are fucking terrible...just look at the eastside where they have complete reign
ReplyDeleteWhite people are over qualified so of course they want to hire an unqualified person.
ReplyDeleteFace it, many blacks are lazy, think the world owes them something and are racist.
ReplyDeleteHire the best person possible, Lord knows this town needs such a person and not some photo op idiot.
ReplyDeleteBut before you can hire the best person possible you have to be smart enough to see such in a person, so KC is screwed again as their isn't anyone at 12th and Oak to pick out a smart person.
How's the view from up there on the mount, Stupor Dave?

ReplyDeleteDemocrat Affirmative Action scam has been around ever since Jimmah pushed that crap on the Federal govt ..and did away with IQ tests (qualifying exams) they used to require for hiring. It's spread to corporate and municipal levels, and only gets worse.
KCMO government has been racist towards whites for a number of years and continues to be. Government plays the race and diversity card when pressure gets too much for the powers to be to handle. KCMO government does whatever it wants and to heck with the taxpayers.
ReplyDeleteFor example; voters approved, in November, changing the street name back to The Paseo and the city still hasn't replaced the signs.
This is just City hall flexing their muscle for diversity and inclusion.
Grow up 6:17 and maybe someday he will invite you come up there.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has EVAR been to the Water Department, it's darkest Africa. I worked there as a contractor and there were no white boys that I saw. Downtown when you go to City Hall, it's all black women, Hispanics, black guys, some white women and very, very, very few white guys (Probably Lawyers from the private sector.). If you're a white dude, you are NOT going to get ANY job cashing in on the government cheese.
ReplyDeleteWhite guys have to actually work in the private sector.
No freebies for you whitey.
Not just America, but especially big tech, REALLY hates you white boy.

Jack Cashill
Well, we all hate you chuck boy, so I guess we're even.
DeleteWe know it's you.
The ideal place to recruit for pretty much any position in KCMO government would be Munchkinland.
ReplyDeleteThe new hires would fit right in with the rest of the crowd.
What a massive waste of the taxpayers' money!
Take down mlk signs now! His dream is dead on KC!
ReplyDelete^^^ Can't handle the truth.
ReplyDeleteHa.7:28 For once be honest
ReplyDeleteBy all means let’s hire more blacks, it’s working out so well for kc and Jackson county......
ReplyDeleteTroy Schulte way is a street paved with gold for developers.
ReplyDelete8:46, a report doesn't have to be unsourced and unsubstantiated to be true. And, as the Star has proven time and again, sourced and substantiated reports can be more spin than truth. It depends on who the sources are and what level of substantiation is provided.
