TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! CANCELLED KANSAS CITY SPORTS TALKER KEVIN KIETZMAN HINTS COMEBACK AFTER CONTROVERSY TO FANBOY DELIGHT!!!

Many disagree with his brash style and right-leaning political tendencies outside the sports world but there is no denying that Kevin Kietzman has earned a place in Kansas City sports talk history.
A quick review for those who might have already forgotten . . .
In the Summer of 2019, after a week of social media smack-downs over allegedly insensitive remarks made about Kansas City Chiefs Coach Andy Reid's deceased son and then an apology followed up by a really lame local media tour along with another half-apology and then a denial . . .
Sports radio host Kevin Kietzman & 810 WHB agreed to part ways
HOWEVER . . .
TO START 2020 KK RETWEETED A PREDICTION OF HIS TRIUMPHANT RETURN TO THE AIRWAVES!!!
The fanboy social media quickie missive imagines the local sports talk legend "tan, rested, with a lower golf handicap and a new program."
So far hundreds of fans have signed on and seem to be encouraging the return of this right-wing sports dude.
And we ask . . .
SHOULD KK RETURN TO KANSAS CITY SPORTS TALK IN ORDER TO PROVIDE CONSERVATIVE BALANCE TO AIRWAVES?!?
You decide . . .
Bring him back. KC needs somebody with some guts! Good for him!
ReplyDeleteJust think about it from a marketing perspective. Both Kansas & Missouri will likely go for Trump. This is red state country and there are plenty of fans who would like to hear someone who aligned with their views. Overall it's a win/win. He paid the price for his remarks, now it's time to move forward.
DeleteBut he’s such a douche.....
ReplyDelete^^^^ True dat.
ReplyDeleteNot so sure about lowering his golf handicap when he could no longer afford his Lionsgate membership. At the end of the day he was and always will be a douche.
ReplyDeleteGuy wasn't afraid to tell it like it is, after the Chiefs lose in the playoffs KC needs somebody like that. In politics as well!
ReplyDeleteGot tired of listening to him say that his thoughts were the only way to see things and wouldn't listen to anything else. Yes he had a long career, but the last couple of years he was almost unbearable. Losing Danny didn't help him at all. His arrogance showed in his half-hearted apologies that meant nothing. Won't listen.
ReplyDeleteHe needs to move away...perhaps take Eric Greitens and move far away... maybe Russia.
ReplyDeleteCan’t believe he would have the audacity to breath the same air as Andy Reid.
Scum bag... his words will always follow him.
Hurtful hurtful words.
I like him. He's just what KC needs!
ReplyDeleteThink about it.
If the Chiefs lose in the playoffs he's the only man who can tell it like it is. I would totally subscribe to his podcast.
ReplyDeleteThe man had it made and he let his ego destroy him sort of like that stupid fuck Glazer did who by the way died broke and I mean penniless. His few fans had to get him a semi decent funeral. No KK shit in his Wheaties and killed his audience here.
ReplyDeleteThe entire situation was mostly caused by butt-hurt KU fans because KK was tough on the basketball program's payments through Addidas to basketball players. KU fans around here made sure the national media blew the entire Reid comments out of proportion and into national news. The NCAA's judgment on the matter and against KU basketball only makes KK look smarter than the other talk show hosts, who are afraid to rock the KU boat. Petro is married to a KU grad, so he doesn't want to disrupt the family trips to KU games. His take on the situation was embarrassing ... saying that KU is only doing what all the other big-time basketball programs are doing. He seems to be forgetting about integrity and a level-playing field for all NCAA teams. What a joke.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has heard the new "talent" on 810, I would say we need Kietzman back here on some station, and quickly. The new hosts sound like second-stringers. Sports 610 AM has always been lame, but now I'm not so sure 810 hasn't dropped to the same level of mediocracy.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of this is making "Super Dave" so horny
ReplyDeleteWhat's a radio?
ReplyDelete^^^^ Good question. It's like a podcast but with 3rd party commercials and even more prosaic content.
DeleteActually, I was thinking that he would do very well with a podcast instead of a radio show. I think old dogs can learn new tricks and it would be interesting to hear him speak without a filter.
ReplyDeleteDouche bags and right wingers do stick together. Maybe it's the exact same group of people. You can have him.
ReplyDeleteKnowledgeable sports fan rejected this idiot long ago.
Knowledgeable sports fan
ReplyDeleteOXYMORON
^^^ Lulz.
ReplyDeleteThere's a valid argument that KK pisses people off and that creates conversation and interest. It's like Trump, except most normal people don't want an unmeasured, brash idiot running the country. But a talk radio show? It makes sense.
ReplyDelete12:40 is another whiny, left wing snowflake in need of a safe space.
ReplyDeleteIt's hilarious how KState fans fawned over KK since he was their Cheerleader for years. Since June, KState fans have blamed KU for KK getting fired. KK was a complete nimrod who put in half assed research into his shows, spent more time yammering on about his golf game, making up conspiracies or talking over callers.
ReplyDeleteKK will do anything to try to keep himself looking relevant. Most people in the city have no idea who he is. A lot of people who know him, only know him for being the tool that made comments about Andy Reid's deceased son. Only a small group of KState fans want their cheerleader to come back. Why not just hire him on a KState Radio Station??
Who cares if he is right leaning or left leaning. He is a terrible broadcaster that pulls shit out of his arse and serves it to the listening audience who sometimes believes his shiite. How about we go for two on every TD etc....
ReplyDeleteNo matter where he goes I wont listen...
Although KK was partial to K-State, he was in Bill Snyder's doghouse for much of his coaching career because of his tough questions, so you're argument has little merit. KK was surrounded by too many KU grads -- major station owner and staff -- who always show their own close-minded bias. That and the KU fans in this area led to KK's demise. They exaggerated his comments about Reid to hysterical proportions. No one is even talking about KU's troubles with the NCAA on the radio stations now. What's with that?
ReplyDeleteThe president of Union Broadcasting is a KU grad. He got tired of hearing from his KU buddies at the station and around town about Kietzman being critical about the funny business within KU sports. They couldn't just punish him by taking him off the air for several weeks like most good leaders would do. They had to shut him down completely. The management's bush league move was overkill.
