The Pitch Shares High Praise For KC Tenants

Right now we share this flashback to the former glory days of print media as The Pitch publishes an old-school-style glossy magazine tribute to an activist group that might or might not get the cash to back up and provide enforcement for a recent legislative win.

Still, in this 1,500 word love letter there's only one halfway critical passage reminding us that most of these "new rules" are already on the books and the win was mostly virtue signaling and protest practice for the 2020 election season.

Checkit:

With the passage of its tenants bill of rights, the activist group KC Tenants has scored a historic win for renters in the city

"Their approach is a throwback to how democracy is supposed to work," says Third District Councilman Brandon Ellington. // Photo by Chase Castor Tiana Caldwell had never been involved in civil activism of any kind until a little over a year ago. The 42-year-old had more pressing concerns.

Well just wait until this women has a criminal for a neighbor. And I also think this story about her is stretched a little. Did she think to get social services involved to help her? There is all kinds of help out there so I really don't believe this story. This whole tenants bill of rights went a little to far.

Have we had any murders yet this year?

Thanks to this agreement you can now have violent felons as neighbors because landlords will no longer be allowed to ask about criminal history.

Take a look at Tiana Caldwell's criminal record.

Put these tenants into Mission Hills, Westwood, and Beacon Hill so they can enhance and color these upscale neighborhoods and increase property values.

^^^ Exactly let them live with Tara's well to do physician parents in Mission Hills.

Man I need to approach Smiley Q and Ellington with something like this. KCMO serial killers and murders for free housing!

Perfect fit for Killer Shitty!

Maybe Three Light is being built for these folks?

How bout Brookside? Certainly they would welcome these friendly and wonderful and disciplined actors into the fold.

Sure the Pitch likes it and shows the kind of people who only read it now, LEFT WING NUT CASES. The Pitch is oh so fucking dead like the Star but too stupid to see it.

they can block the streets..as long as they leave the bike lanes open!

Don't want them in Valentine. They can't afford it anyway so that solves most of the problem.

And people wonder why those that can, do live (and work) outside of Kansas City.

Mayor Selfie continues to talk up the a $50 million housing trust; a trust with $0. The City of Kansas City MO cannot fulfill the most basic requirements of a municipal government and he continues to talk up the a $50 million housing trust. What happens when the state eliminates the earnings tax and those not living in KCMO stop paying the earnings tax?

See all those freshly printed signs and banners? WHAT THE FUCK? Who pays for those? George Soros?

These useless gibme protesters haven't got a dime between them, so somebody with DEEP POCKETS is always ready with professionally done signs that look good on camera......Remember when a protest sign was white art board on a stick with shoe polish?

There's got to be a mastermind behind all this. No way people of different backgrounds can organize and come together to accomplish anything right?

How much is a printed custom T shirt for 300 people? Which one of the losers in this picture paid for those things?
It's gotta be Soros' money from his "I hate the U.S.A. Fund"
