Kansas City Voters To Decide Whether To Raise Sales Taxes For Fire Department
Kansas City voters will decide in April whether to increase the city sales tax to help maintain buildings and buy new vehicles for the fire department. The City Council voted 10-2 on Thursday to place the issue on the ballot in April. Councilmembers Melissa Robinson and Eric Bunch voted against the measure.
I will vote NO!
ReplyDeleteI will vote YES!
ReplyDeleteSo your vote is cancelled!
If you vote Yes, then you are an idiot with a lot of other problems. Seek help.
DeleteWell I guess the big post about how pissed off the police supposedly are is a big lie since the article DOESN'T EVEN MENTION IT.
ReplyDelete^^^ Believe what you want good sir. Please trust public radio and City Hall and mainstream news. You certainly won't go broke doing that. They'll give you a tote bag. Good luck!
DeleteVOTE NO!
ReplyDeleteWay too many taxes in KC already.
No vote.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm worried FD will stuff the ballot boxes or scare people away from polls. It has happened that way in the past.
No quit wasting money sending trucks for heart attacks
ReplyDeleteNO!!!!
ReplyDeleteEric bunch voted against this because it hurts the .000008% of the bike riders in kc, say so long to that completely stupid $400 million dollars your bitch ass was looking for! Haha!
ReplyDeleteYes to KC Fire. Fuck Off and NOOOOO to KCPD
ReplyDeleteNo to KCFD, bloodsucking leeches.
Delete80%+ of metro residents have made the excellent choice NOT to live in KCMO, so with this, like other incompetently handled issues, they'll just sit back and laugh at the continuous buffoonery that passes for local government there.
ReplyDeleteWatch the KCMO celebrity-wannabee D-list political hacks get rolled by yet another special interest group and shaken down for millions.
When is the $350 million bike lane proposal coming?
Hahahahaha!!
Vote NO! Vote Hell No if it’s an option. KCFD bleeds the general fund of this city dry. Several of the highest paid city employees, including THE highest paid are KCFD employees, making almost $250k a year playing the overtime game. They stick the city with crap collective bargaining agreements that give KCFD double digit pay increases. They care about nothing but Local 42 and themselves. Don’t put any more money behind them. More than 72% of our general fund goes to public safety. And it’s never enough.
ReplyDeleteSaid it before. Fortunate to be close to Gladstone & NKC grocery stores. 90 % of non-food from Amazon.
ReplyDeleteNo to both
ReplyDeleteWE can give free bus rides ($8 million ) but can't keep up with maintenance of our fire Dept. Vote NO
ReplyDeleteVOTE NO! This department is so mismanaged, hence all of the overtime pay. Read up on how much money is spent. WAY OVERPAID!
ReplyDeleteNo. If they can send two or three big-ass trucks and an ambulance to every call, even those that are not actually fired, they pretty clearly don't need more money.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely NO
