Still Too Early To Celebrate Kansas City Comeback On Prospect?!?!

The area is still better known for gunfire and murder than new opportunity but this garbage content behind the paywall offers a hopeful hot take without many tough questions for the beneficiaries of taxpayer welfare . . . Meanwhile, there's not many behind the scenes deets about so much infighting related to conflicts and politics . . . Reality: Free money never really solved anything despite what dead-tree "journalism" claims:

'We're booming.' How $150M from Kansas City has boosted development on Prospect Ave.

Marquita Taylor, who has lived near Prospect Avenue her whole life, can't remember a time like this. Decades of crime, poverty and blight stunted progress in this part of town, starving the historically black community of grocery and retail stores for years. But that's not the story of Prospect today.

  7. I bet this incredible renaissance on Prospect is because of Sly James urban planning genius. Soon the McMansions and BMW's will start appearing there.

  8. Change its name to Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. Or is that not divisive enough for the race baiting reverends?

  12. Yeah, way too early. I am Ms. Taylor's neighbor. At no time do I believe there has been much change. We have some new and renovated buildings but the 3rd District still looks like shit, is like shit, smells like shit and the locals get treated like shit. I look forward to leaving Kansas City, MO every morning and dred coming back. Ms. Taylor is a cheerleader who is mostly impressed with her position as neighborhood President, which is a volunteer organization that most residents dont participate in. I have read the entire Star write up because they want pay to read that garbage. The opening paragraph was enough for me to call bullshit. Here it is...bullshit.
