Neighborhood busybodies who have pushed their movement forward by desperately searching for token minority faces confront THE REVS and one of their many money-making schemes in this battle to protect their respective fiefdoms along a path that confounds MSM when reporting the spate of violence on this controversial stretch of road . . . 'Now the stakes are even higher': citywide vote on MLK Blvd. or Paseo approaches
Less than nine months after crews installed the first Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard street signs along what was known as The Paseo, the city is preparing for a vote on whether to take them back down. Voters will head to the polls Nov.
Really. Who gives a crap what they name it. They're hell bent on naming some street MLK to placate the blacks, so some street is going to be renamed. In 25-50 years will it make a difference. Who cares.
ReplyDeleteThe Star insists on avoiding any mention of how much the King family intends to shake down KCMO taxpayers if this street name continues.
ReplyDeleteShouldn't that be an important fact the voters should be able to consider in the election?
^^^It makes no sense to change those names now, when they'd just have to change them back to The Paseo after the November 5 election.
ReplyDeleteDo as thou wilt. Malcolm X Blvd next. Living in America.
ReplyDeleteI think Simon Bolivar Boulevard has a nice ring to it, why don't we go that route.
ReplyDeleteMalcolm deserves a street name after him. I am on the fence about Martin but I would say that the street name should go back to what it was originally. The Paseo. The folks who championed this were out of line. John Fuckin Miles was part of this bullshit. That should tell you all you need to know to make it right and change it back.

ReplyDeleteMartin gave free blowjobs
ReplyDeleteGeorge Lincoln Rockwell Blvd has a nice ring to it
ReplyDeleteWe shouldn’t name anything after MLK, except for a fat turd floating in Brush Creek.
ReplyDeleteMLK couldn’t have cared less about negroes in Kansas City. He never set foot in this city. Why name anything after that fat, plagiarizing, philandering cocksucker?
ReplyDeleteBecause unlike you, he mattered. He changed things. You don’t even change your diaper. That’s why he’ll always be remembered, and people don’t even know who you are and will never care. That help you dummy?
ReplyDeleteSave the Paseo! Respect Kansas City history.
ReplyDeleteHow about naming it "Martin Paseo a la' King"?
ReplyDeleteIt is no more stupid than Sha-nay-nay, L' Antwan, or Chaneequa.
12:47 hey chimpy! Why aren’t you outside flinging poo and dancing for the people you silly monkey! Hahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteKCMO has a MLK park which they do not maintain for the hood rats. If the park was properly maintained the park would be sufficient for having something named after MLK.
ReplyDeleteMlk Park has flush creek running right through it, now that’s a proper tribute right there!
ReplyDeleteThat park has been named after him for a long time, Ive bet we’ve paid millions to the family by now. There is a school up the street named after him too. Our city has made the family millionaires for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhy don’t they move mlk blvd to Johnson county?
Hey Chimpy fanboy--has your sedative worn off already?
ReplyDeleteSomeone please post how much the King family will get every year for perpetuity ... ???
ReplyDeleteJim Crow For President 2020
ReplyDeleteHow much for the use of the MLK name?
ReplyDeleteHow much for the use of the MLK name?
How much for the use of the MLK name?
Why no transparency about this? Might be a deal breaker for those who actually pay taxes. Tax payers have the right and the need to know!
There are residents That live on the Paseo That Don't want the name Changed. Go Back the NEW York Times Report stated that City's That Changed A Street to M.L.K.THE PROPERTY VALUES DROPPED AROUND THE AREA. THE VOTER'S WILL VOTE TO CHANGE IT BACK TO THE PASEO. THE FAKE PREACHERS WILL LOOSE THIS ONE.
ReplyDeleteVote to keep the Paseo!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to sound dramatic but this is one of the more important votes we've had in KC. It's basically the crooked local politicians imposing their will on people vs the people fighting back. We still have no transparency on how much the city has to pay. This is one of the only times I can remember such a major issue being put on the ballot because of a petition. Please vote to save the paseo
ReplyDeleteSomeone at City Hall had to approve and program the computer to cut the check to the King Family. This is not Area 51 is it? Apparently there is over 900 streets named after MLK JR. I have yet to find any info on how much is paid annually from any source. I guess you get slapped down as a racist if you publish, ask or inquire in any way. I am always skeptical about taxpayer (eternal) commitments where all information is so tightly withheld. I am not aware if any of our politicos has ever even asked. I may have missed it. Please post if they have and if an answer has been stated.
ReplyDeleteQuinton, be transparent post the perpetual cost!
ReplyDeleteCall it MLK, call it Tiny Tim, fuck me call it Mario brothers boulevard. It's still Paseo to me and everyone else that lives on it.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell is the perpetual cost? Does it stay the same amount over the years? Or is adjusted for cost of living at specified intervals? What are the damn top secret Terms?
ReplyDeleteWe now have a new absolute: Taxes, Death and Payments to the King Family...FOREVER!
What am I missing? Doesn't the opposition have the cost information to strengthen their case for stopping this shakedown? If they don't, why not? Something stinks worse than the broken down KC sewer system.
ReplyDeleteWho wants to live on Most Likely Killed Boulevard?
