NEWSFLASH: NOBODY BELIEVES DELAYED MISSION GATEWAY DEVELOPER HYPE!!!

Our blog community noticed the lack of progress on the current scheme back in March. Local TV news followed-up on the hype recently and today the newspaper finally got around to covering it . . . Take a look:

Mission Gateway construction is ramping up, developer says. Neighbors are skeptical

After more than a dozen years of false starts, could preliminary construction work finally be starting on the Mission Gateway development at Johnson Drive and Roe Avenue? Developers say construction on the long-stalled Mission Gateway project will take off this month - starting with a massive entertainment complex.

  1. Developer was probably spending most of his time at Epstein's fantasy island.

  2. Nice time to start a development. When the economy is heading south. Guess the taxpayers will get stuck with another bill when this stage flops.

  3. This must be real, since a bunch of new PortaPotties were delivered to the site this week and put next to the new construction trailer.

  4. For the sake of those who live in the area, I hope it remains a pile of dirt. JoCo has enough of the great unwashed slipping in from KCMO and the Dotte without building some trash magnet for them to flock to.

  5. Mission is a scummy area. Anything there will fail. Mission police cavity search women in broad daylight

  6. That's a lie^^^^^^

  7. Fogel Anderson Const. Co has remobilized to the site. Work is beginning to restart slowly. No indications Neighbors Const. Co is returning. No major work happening right now. I'm not optimistic.
