FOX4: KC Zoo is putting $10 million in elephant habitat to make it better for the animals and visitors

During the announcement the zoo revealed that in addition to upgrades for the elephants, there will also be upgrades for visitors who want to spend more time with the elephants.
The zoo currently has seven elephants. When renovations are complete, their habitat will feature a more elephant-friendly pool and waterfall. The waterfall will have a new water filtration system which saves nearly 100,000 gallons of water every few days.

ReplyDeleteThe folks who object to animals being "locked up" in zoos should come up with a plan for their release back in their home country. Be aware that the locals will then shoot them dead and harvest any sellable body parts. You would have to provide round-the-clock security with BIG guns to protect them.
