TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY INSIDERS PREDICT STEVE ROSE STAYS WINNING AGAINST GOP LAWSUIT NOW THREATENING 1ST AMENDMENT FREE SPEECH!!!

Kansas City newsman and columnist Steve Rose would hate the .jpeg above because he's a Republican and actually didn't agree with Prez Obama or this iconic image which we parody because of its American flag colors that are relevant for July 4th 2019.

But more important than image, right now we bring EXCLUSIVE insight into an important legal fight that impacts all of KCMO.

Checkit:

KANSAS CITY INSIDERS AGREE: STEVE ROSE STAYS WINNING OVER KANSAS GOP STATE SENATOR JIM DENNING GIVEN THIS WEEK'S RULING!!!

Don't forget that a Johnson County judge on Tuesday dismissed a defamation lawsuit brought by Kansas Sen. Majority Leader Jim Denning against The Kansas City Star.

And so here's the EXCLUSIVE word from one of the top ranking KC metro insiders who has more than a bit of insight on this case and offers an important perspective based on recent evidenc.

Checkit:

"Inasmuch as Rose’s arguments in the Denning vs Rose lawsuit are virtually identical to those of The Kansas City Star – that the burden of proof is solely on Denning to show malice – it is virtually certain the outcome will be identical."

"Denning then would lose and pay Rose’s $40,000 in legal fees with more bad headlines for him. With re-election efforts right around the corner, legal experts would not be surprised if Denning withdrew his lawsuit, both to save time and energy in a fruitless battle, and to save the punitive legal fees. We will know the outcome later this month, when Denning and Rose are scheduled to face off."

And so, Republican infighting hasn't worked well for either side but this July 4th our blog community finds a bright side amid all of this drama and realizes that the challenges confronted by Mr. Rose actually help to secure 1st Amendment rights for all of the denizens of the Kansas City metro discourse.

Kansas Republicans are going to have to get over their personal squabbles and come together if they want to stay relevant in 2020. It seems that more and more there are Democratic Party activists who think they can take over the state and, sadly, they seem to be making progress. That's the real fight that's way more dangerous than anything a columnist writes.

^^^^ I like the spirit but you obviously don't get it, that's why the Republicans lost the Congressional seat and the governorship, because they're too self obsessed and it's all about ego with a lot of them. You have to manage the personalities before you can even start to think about policy issues. Nobody has been able to do that for years, I hope the new guy will be able to show some talent and get them together. But I doubt it.

Republicans aren't relevant in Kansas anymore after the Sharice Davids victory. She exposed the as backward, sexist and racist. They will continue to lose because they alienate women voters.

Real test is replacing Roberts. If the Democrats turn that seat Blue, then all bets are off and it's a totally new ball game.

Denning is a Republican --Rose(n) is a liberal RINO.

Democrat judge hands the lib a victory.

Rose is a lot more Conservative than Denning when it comes to corporate handouts. Denning is a has been but it's kind of interesting that Rose remains relevant in KC discussions. The Star might have done him a favor by moving him out of their dumpster fire.

Denning is bringing the Republicans down. Does he really seem like a man who is going to lure back female voters?

ANGELA K. YOU ARE A NUT JOB AND SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM VOTING. NOT COMPETENT!

Will steve rose ever just GO AWAY? Typical JOCO schmuck.

The cases will be won or lost on appeal, and not before then.

^^^^ Oh, so stupid. You're thinking of the defendant's right to appeal not the plaintiff and not in a civil case. Please don't pretend to be a lawyer. You're just bad at it and you embarrass yourself without even realizing it. Your friends are just too nice to say that you sound uneducated at best. I'm not trying to be mean, I honestly want to save you the embarrassment.

TKC, please consider that the case has already accomplished it's goals. The RINO is no longer working at the Star and no longer pretending to represent Conservatives. Steve Rose has been out of step with Kansas Republicans for decades, not just years.

If Republicans continue to ride everyone who doesn't blindly march lock-step with the Far Right out of the Party on a rail, they're going to find that 23% Republican number dropping into the single-digit range.

3:57, it's hard to make sense of your gobbledegook. Are you trying to say that Plaintiffs against whom a final judgment is entered in a civil case, whether after a trial or on a pre-trial motion, do not have a right to appeal? If so, got anything to back that up? If not, what the fuck are you going on about?

There's also the question of double jeopardy. What will the appeal find deficient in the judge's ruling? Judges don't like overturning each other. Denning is already on the hook for 40,000. I don't think he is a multimillionaire. Why continue a case he has already lost?

This is rich.

A Republican, lamenting a "free press" when their own President trashes it daily. Repeatedly.

Thanks, Republicans!
