TKC SUNDAY QUESTION: ARE KANSAS CITY TRAILS SAFE THIS SUMMER?!?!
This weekend locals celebrated National Trails Day and a quick question that deserves just a bit of exploration given the upcoming warm weather season of crime.
First, a bit of background . . .
Let's not forget that about a year ago A RACIST SERIAL KILLER was charged with targeting white dudes walking local trails early in the morning.
In response to a rising crime in local parks and trails KANSAS CITY HAS NOW DEPLOYED ARMED PARK RANGERS to respond to a growing number of complaints that are more serious and dangerous than just stolen picnic baskets.
And, as always, CREEPERS OFTEN TARGET KANSAS CITY WOMEN ALONG LOCAL PATHS -- Especially typically terrified middle-class ladies on the notorious Trolley Track Trail.
And so we ask . . .
DO YOU FEEL SAFE THIS SUMMER ON KANSAS CITY TRAILS?!?!
The reality is that the rise in local crime has NEVER been confined to the urban core and as we celebrate Kansas City trails this weekend, we should probably realize that they're also a low-key hotspot wherein a diverse cross-section of residents confront rising crime.
