Right now we'd like to share some impressive KCFD photography skillz along with an important public safety warning.

Moreover, the image provides a clear glimpse at Kansas City's ongoing storm sewer crisis.

^^Maybe, she's tired of all of the carbon that we keep pumping into the atmosphere.

Your corporate overlords don't want to believe in global warming because they make a lot of money from the burning of fossil fuels.

It's a lot cheaper to deny the problem.

I recommend Asimov's "Night fall" for a good analogy of all of this. On a planet with seven suns, a scientist tries to convince the authorities that a rare eclipse will result in total darkness. Of course, he was right, but even he didn't predict what would happen next.

  3. Will check out.
The best president on this side of the globe,AMLO, has a six year term in Mexico. He proposed a vote in midterm elections(2021) to remove or let him finish his term.
“If I am not doing a good job, if I don’t have the moral authority to lead this country. Let the people choose. They gave me the office, they can take it away”
In two years we should be able to notice a change in sewers, water, potholes and crime, for better or worse and make a decision.

  5. And worst of all, THE streetcar had to suspend "service".
So on to the bicycles. No, those lanes are flooded too!
Switch to Lime scooters. No way that's gonna work.
But the buses are still running just fine.
    Amazing.
And they were there all the time!

  6. Obviously Byron cannot find another blog close to home, or anywhere else for that matter, who will allow him to espouse his nonsense, so he has to assuage his ego clear back in KC. Sad.

  7. Don't worry about Byron he is an idiot and just wants to argue no matter what the topic is.

Did anyone in this city think infrastructure was going to get done? But yet certain idiots in this city voted to give developers breaks on paying taxes. But that's OK because people like Byron are rich rich rich and can spend spend spend to line the pockets of big business.

How that affordable housing coming along?

  8. The billion dollar smart sewer system failed again. System must not be very smart, need smarter people to operate it or the city does not have enough big data for the system to operate effectively.

  9. Quinton Lucas already spent a billion dollars? #betterthansly

  10. There are so many things wrong with the sewer/water dept. Hopefully that QL can worm his way in and flush out Leed's and the old cronie network- and force accountability and get to work on the sewer promises.
