Prohibition Last Days: Watch Kansas City Marijuana Conviction Consequences Clip

In the grand scheme of things this local anti-marijuana clip funded by COMBAT is a testament to short-sighted political reality ruling over a populace that mostly disagrees with current legal codes.

And so, as decriminalization slowly becomes the law of the land . . . Very much like REEFER MADNESS . . . A KCMO mini-movie offering a warning about the legal ramifications of marijuana seems dated especially given more recent notes that most weed crime won't be prosecuted in Jackson County.

Take a look:

Mayoral candidate Quinton Lucas has pledged to PARDON those with KCMO weed convictions.

BUT it important tot remember that the Greater KC area laps over more than just a sane and sensible Jackson County. Best get a lawyer.

Does the mayor have such authority?

The Mo general assembly passed a pretty good bill last session (or within past 2-3 maybe) about expungements but not sure if it works over Muni things and it did have a fairly steep five hundred dollar filing fee (along with whatever fee your lawyer would charge).
