TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! INSIDERS FEAR THAT CLAY CHASTAIN WRITE-IN CAMPAIGN NOW THREATENS TO TIP THE BALANCE OF POWER IN CLOSE KANSAS CITY MAYORAL ELECTION!!!

Late into the evening we've got FIRST news of a campaign development that threatens the status quo.

Clay was shut out of the mayoral debate.

Nearly every mainstream media outlet in KC rejected his announcements that were more transformative than any other candidate.

He was heckled by paid political consultants.

Yet hundreds of voters till endorsed his candidacy.

Now . . .

KANSAS CITY TAX FIGHTERS AND CRITICS OF THE TWO CANDIDATES ASK CLAY CHASTAIN TO CONTINUE HIS ADVOCACY IN A WRITE-IN CAMPAIGN!!!

Even better . . .

INSIDERS ALREADY FEAR THAT A WRITE-IN VOTE FOR CLAY COULD TIP THE SCALES AGAINST EITHER QUINTON LUCAS OR JOLIE JUSTUS!!!

We're looking over returns and what we see so far is that this vote will be decided in the same Midtown stronghold where Clay launches most of his petitions.

Accordingly . . .

THE OUTRAGE AGAINST CLAY CHASTAIN IS DIRECTED FROM CITY HALL INSIDERS WHO KNOW THAT HE HAS THE POWER TO INFLUENCE THE UPCOMING VOTE MORE THAN ANY OTHER CANDIDATE!!!

As always, this news starts FIRST on TKC as the City Hall establishment and consultants from throughout the metro plead with Clay to stay out of the contest.

Developing . . .

    1. Clay should do it not just for the city but for so many of his supporters. I think this is the best way to get his issues across.

  2. KCMO should be so lucky.

  3. This one will be decided by about 500 votes. In that kind of environment, Clay has the upper hand. Think about it, the people who voted for Clay would do so no matter what KC media said or did. They know he has our best interests at heart. So Clay has the deciding margin on his hands. THAT is real power.

    Think about it.

^^^^ Not only that but Clay could make an endorsement at the last second and really get the point across that his issues are what are important to KC. Safer streets and better transit. A lot of KC voters care about those priorities.

  5. I'd trust an endorsement from Clay far more than what one of those voter pimp special interest has to say.

If he doesn't run, he should definitely make a big deal in his endorsement.

Sounds like good reasons to pass a sour grapes law.

  7. Fake news joke post. Nobody who gets 0.92% of the vote can be taken seriously.

    Nice try Tony.

^^^^ If you didn't take him seriously, you wouldn't be trying to make a counter argument @12:02 in the morning. We can see you are scared. Deal with it.

  8. Actually, if the vote is decided by .5% and Clay has claim to 1% of the vote. His campaign could be very significant. It doesn't hurt that Clay is the only guy talking about the real issues in KC and he was the most dynamic speaker in the primary.

I will again vote for Clay. No option. He'll probably lose, but a vote for anyone else is just another 4 years of same ole shit.

  10. Here's what I hope. Clay continues a write-in campaign and promises endorse one of the candidates, that way his supporters get a say. Otherwise we're just subjected to more KCMO lies.

  11. Honestly, the more I think about it. A lot of people didn't vote for Lucas@ 18% or Justus@ 23% of the total votes cast. If all of the 59% who didn't vote for either one of these two get behind one candidate, those voters could turn this election totally upside down. It's a long shot but in my own heart I think you saw the numbers that will be behind Justus and I don't think it will improve any in the general election. If Clay wants to pull off an upset he best convince the voters he is more of the real deal and plan on spending every day between tomorrow and June 17th convincing people how real he is.

Even if it isn't Clay, I really feel a third person is going to sneak in here and possibly steal this election. I'm not convinced the voters will in the end put either Justus or Lucas into the Mayors seat.

Having 59% of who voted today not really wanting you in office is some serious numbers to worry about.

    1. Oh I'm convinced Clay is real.

Real unstable. Real crazy. Real unelectable.

      For real.

  13. Agree with the comments that this is one of the worst elections we've ever had in KC. Can't remember when so few people were excited to vote.

  15. I wonder what the real vote count was.
It's obvious that this result was decided on months ago t 12th & Oak.

I will vote for Clay if he comes and mows my lawn. With the number of votes he got this time, I think he could actually increase his count. AND I'll pay him 20 bucks.

  17. I'm doing it as protest vote. Better use of the ballot than voting for either of these incompetent queers.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Why is there a write-in option in a run off general election? What is the point of having a primary if I can still vote for any of the candidates in the general?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Unstable and crazy haven't prevented the last four KC Mayors from being elected, and didn't disqualify the two announced top runners this time, @10:04, so what's your point?.

    ReplyDelete
  20. To vote Jolie is to rubber stamp hog fat for probably eight years. No to hog fat, no to Lucas too (don't dislike him but don't see him standing up to the hogs either)

Was this really the best Kansas City could do. Was there not a business leader worth spit who would throw their hat in the ring?
