JOCO DA UNDER FIRE FOR STATEMENTS ABOUT TYREEK HILL INVESTIGATION: WAS HE RIGHT TO SHARE HIS OPINION?!?!

We talked about this one last night and now newsies explore our FIRST NEWS discussion with their own far more carefully worded opinions.

The DA claiming that he believed a crime had taken place but couldn't prove it has put the Kansas City Chiefs and their fanboys on the defensive.

41 Files: JoCo DA sends message in Tyreek Hill decision

Deets:

"Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe said Wednesday there wasn’t enough evidence to charge anyone in his office’s review of a child abuse investigation involving Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill and his fiancĂ©e Crystal Espinal. In this week’s 41 Files Podcast, reporter Ariel Rothfield and "4th and 1" Chiefs podcast host Tod Palmer break down Howe’s news conference and the message he might have sent in lieu of charges.Later in the episode, Palmer discusses how the news could impact the 2019 season for the Chiefs."

  1. Based on the audio that was just released his opinion is very much right...looks like the Chiefs better draft a replacement

"If tiny guy can't reliably testify, YOU MUST DROP IT!"

SO very many variable acts that the happy couple may have done. And, are they in AN ALLIANCE OF SILENCE to avoid public scrutiny, AND to attempt evasion of prosecution for them, singly, or together? Too many unknowns, outside of those present during the injury.

Was she holding the little guy while Hill struck at her, or vice versa? Did little guy get dropped during a tussle by either him/her? Was the boy fell upon by both, or by one, in the midst of a fight? Did small man get his arm smashed in a door, struck into a wall, or stepped on as dad fled from mom, or vice versa?

  5. I listened. She was trying to trap Hill into saying something incriminating.

Her statements were totally self serving.

Counseling needed all around, but the audio proves nothing.

If there was evidence of a crime, the DA should have charged both. Get them both in a courtroom and let a jury sort it out. Otherwise, Howe should stop speculating and STFU.

  6. He has the right to say anything and yes a crime was committed. But the guy is a football player he's black and has lots of money. So some people on here need to STFU.

  7. We need a prosecutor like Steve Howe in Jackson County. He at least tries to go after criminals hard, unlike the worthless Jean Petersucker Baker.

  8. The dude knows a crime was committed the same as everyone else. The kid has a totally unexplained broken arm. Super Dave said it best other day. Knowing that a bank was robbed but proving who the person under the mask was is a whole other story.

Sorry Petersucker, but he didn't go hard after this guy.

He seems to have let him off.

  10. See ya' Tyreek don't let the door hit ya in the ass on the way out.

  11. Only petersucker around here is Byron.

  12. Still too many unanswered questions to reach a conclusion.

  13. He was grandstanding because he has political ambitions. Funny how it sets a precedent where a white man in charge can announce there are no charges at all against a successful black man, but then can go on and trash his name and the media laps it up because their ratings stink
