Two people are in custody after an early morning police chase that started in Independence, Missouri.The Clay County Sheriff's Office said just before 7:30 a.m., Independence police pursued a stolen vehicle into Clay County, where the vehicle involved nearly struck an officer.Clay County deputies pursued the suspect vehicle until in crashed near Kansas Street and Conistor in Liberty.Clay County authorities said two men were taken into custody after a short foot chase.Charges are pending in connection with this incident.
