The investigation centers on whether Chief Terry Ziegler "double dipped" when he took paid time off work while also charging the county government for work he did on the lake house.

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KS (KCTV) -- The FBI is investigating a bank robbery that happened in Prairie Village. Authorities say the Great Southern Bank at 5206 W. 95th Street was held up around 1 p.m. on Monday, February 4. The Prairie Village Police Department said the suspect approached a bank teller and demanded money.

Meth Town Runaround
Two people are in custody after an early morning police chase that started in Independence, Missouri.The Clay County Sheriff's Office said just before 7:30 a.m., Independence police pursued a stolen vehicle into Clay County, where the vehicle involved nearly struck an officer.Clay County deputies pursued the suspect vehicle until in crashed near Kansas Street and Conistor in Liberty.Clay County authorities said two men were taken into custody after a short foot chase.Charges are pending in connection with this incident.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Independence officials are warning residents that scammers are at it again in their area. A city spokesperson said people have reported receiving threatening phone calls from an "800" number that shows up on caller I.D. as from the City of Independence.
