Public universities are public property and the civil rights of all people there must be respected, be it free speech, worship, assembly or the carry of a firearm. How anyone who loves their civil rights can debate this.

No. Let the people who work on college campuses, like myself, decide. Guns on campus limit free speech, because faculty and students are afraid to voice their opinions when there are weapons in the room. Additionally, disgruntled students in faculty offices limit the ability of faculty to do their jobs.

8:29 Campus students and employees don't vote on what civil rights we trample on. You have no more right to restrict armed people from campus than you do barring gays, blacks or the handicapped.

If you don't like that your are free to find another job or private school that shares your values. This is true Freedom.
