Home Remodel: Reimagined Ranch
Tamara Day, design superstar and host of the DIY Network series "Bargain Mansions," is a fairy godmother, of sorts, to overlooked and under-loved homes. She has a knack for turning ugly, aging ducklings into showstoppers. Day says when she saw the house on Belinder Road in Leawood, it was a mess of "weird angled bricks with an unfortunate design aesthetic."...
So she took a classic understated midcentury ranch and turned it into a McMansion. And that's a good thing?
ReplyDeleteYes, the before pic shows a house that needs some freshening up, but the end result looks like a high-end playhouse built by kids who found all sorts of leftover materials at Lowe’s.
ReplyDeleteCurious if it sold. I think they were asking over $900k and it was on the market for a while and the for sale sign came down without the typical "SOLD" sign that usually sits out there for at least a couple of weeks before closing. It's certainly an improvement of the house that was there but may be a bit overpriced...
