  1. How could a midwestern city possibly be expected to be prepared for 7 inches of snow?

Another inch and we would have to be under a state of emergency with the Natty Guard rolling in.

  2. Too optimistic... Saturday is more like it and they know it.
So do officials lose all credibility if it’s Saturday ?

  3. It's been a long time since KCP&l has had this bad a response. Betcha all the execs and bosses have power.

  4. I was out Sunday and saw KCP&L trucks in ditches all over the real eastside, I measured 11” of snow over there. People that work indoors have no idea how dangerous and hard it is to work in those conditions. Next to impossible. Cut them some slack.

  5. The KCPL guys are heroes in my book. They have to fight their way through overgrown yards to re-string the power lines. The people on the front line are to be commended as they work with an antiquated power system made more difficult by property owners who don't trim their trees. Thanks, KCPL linemen.

  6. KCPL drivers probably need to take the winter driving courses city drivers take.
