Kansas City Toy Train Streetcar Expansion Hype Continues Despite Citywide Vote

In 2017 more than 50K KCMO voters DEMANDED CITYWIDE APPROVAL before any streetcar expansion. Nevertheless, endless hype continues in an attempt to subvert any semblance of local democracy. Here's one more example:

When a "quasi-public" independent entity accountable to no one and unsurprisingly dedicated to its own self-perpetuation, is created by elected government, it invariably goes rogue and ends up wasting large amounts of money feeding itself, regardless of other higher priorities needs of the community.
    TIF Commission.
    Port Authority.
    Planned Industrial Expansion Authority.
    The list goes on and on.
    Opaque decision-making and no accountability to voters.
    What could possibly go wrong?
