Clay needs to look at the Streetcar extension to UMKC and overturn this with City action. Undemocratic process by the City and totally unfair taxation...
Corruption.

When a "quasi-public" independent entity accountable to no one and unsurprisingly dedicated to its own self-perpetuation, is created by elected government, it invariably goes rogue and ends up wasting large amounts of money feeding itself, regardless of other higher priorities needs of the community.
TIF Commission.
Port Authority.
Planned Industrial Expansion Authority.
The list goes on and on.
Opaque decision-making and no accountability to voters.
What could possibly go wrong?

Can we bring that streetcar to about 95ht and Metcalf. Maybe to 135th. Take So. JoCo to work via something besides a car.
