Last month our blog community reported this news about a horrible property tax plan and tomorrow it will be in the paper. Check a mayoral candidate effectively making himself un-electable in the Northland:
Councilman suggests property tax hike for affordable housing | The Kansas City Star
Kansas City is working steadily toward its first-ever housing policy, but a significant challenge remains: how to fund a fix to its affordable housing shortage. One solution, offered Wednesday by Mayor Pro Tem Scott Wagner, would boost Kansas Citians' property tax rate to raise about $4 million per year - or an estimated $41 million over its 10-year life.
Fuck You Scott!
ReplyDeleteRight let's just tax people some more certainly and without a doubt that will make prices more affordable.

Maybe he's committing political suicide because he really doesn't want to be Mayor after all. And he can say welp least I tried to do sumptin.
ReplyDeleteLMAO

ReplyDeleteSo taxpayers should pay to clean up another mess in a long list of city halls screwups?
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteBut the people will do it because that's their answer to everything, more tax even when you don't see your tax dollar at work for you. The city is an mess tell them to get it cleaned up, functional, and lower the crime before you give any more money to these thieves! For once JUST SAY NO!
Here's a campaign tip. When you're running for mayor, Don't Advocate Raising Property Taxes!
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^^^^^^ EXCELLENT Advice. Hope all the candidates follow it.
ReplyDeleteTax the poor people so the rich developers don’t have to pay taxes......... makes perfect sense in killa shitty
ReplyDeleteNO MORE TAXES.....moron, you can’t get blood from a turnip! You aren’t responsible with the taxes we give you.
ReplyDeleteBetter solution is to take money from the funds Slie is handing over to the developers to fund the affordable housing program.
ReplyDeleteThe city has the funds but they do not manage them responsibly.
