TKC SUNDAY EXCLUSIVE SPECIAL!!! AIRLINES UNCERTAIN ABOUT RISING NEW KANSAS CITY AIRPORT PRICES AND MORE CITY HALL AVIATION INCOMPETENCE!!!
Despite the best efforts of the current administration to ram this continually evolving deal through with a series of misstatements and deception, the new airport continues to experience turbulence . . .
Here's the upshot . . .
CITY HALL INSIDERS FEAR AIRLINE PUSH BACK OVER NEW KCI USE & LEASE TERMS AGREEMENT THAT REMAINS UNSIGNED!!!
It gets worse . . .
THE AVIATION DEPT. ISN'T CALCULATING INTEREST ON AIRPORT BONDS AS PART OF THE PRICE TAG WHICH WILL SEND THE TOTAL FAR ABOVE THE PRICE SOLD TO VOTERS!!!
At the current rate insiders figure the price tag is at last 4-billion not the 2 recently made headlines. Tragically, this is only the beginning of soaring costs for the biggest construction project in modern KCMO history that's currently spiraling out of control.
Developing . . .
Not to worry.
ReplyDeleteSly will be in DC long before the check is due.
This might be true but as long as everyone is getting their cut, I don't think there will be much complaining from local leaders. The most important thing is contracting and union agreements and for the most part those have been settled. That's what really has the potential to push this thing toward a 10 billion dollar pricetag.
DeleteThis is just more corruption form city government and the taxpayers will be left holding the bill. Amazing how much of the failed infrastructure can be repaired for $ 2billion.
ReplyDeleteWay past time for an audit of all the city departments and remodeling of the existing airport.
The quickest way for Slie to get a legacy is to go to the local Subaru dealer.
They are not including the cost of tearing down and removing terminals A and B which could easily reach $200,000,000 each. $400,000,000 total.
ReplyDeleteDon’t hold your breathe on an audit, Nicole Galloway doesn’t audit democrim run cities, she gets all her money from killa shitty and shitty Louis dummocraps so......
ReplyDeletei keep saying the public is going to get screwed on this deal
ReplyDeleteSo who are these insiders we've been hearing about for 15 years now here?
ReplyDeleteDemocrats don't worry about silly things like costs. They think there's an unlimited amount of money to spend on everything and costs be damned.
ReplyDeleteyeah, what will the price increase on a southwest ticket pn average as a result of the new airport?
ReplyDeletepublic should know now.
Hey, remember when our new airport was only going to cost one BILLION dollars? Chump change, my friends. Four BILLION and counting. The airlines have City Hall by the short hairs on a downward pull. Ha ha ha - and the taxpayers (NOT THE AIRLINES) will be on the hook FOREVER.
ReplyDeleteThis is actually just the start of it. The airport is going to bankrupt KCMO.
ReplyDeleteSly's folly. Just like the silly trolley.
ReplyDeleteAnd don’t forget Jollie! Hahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteWhat’s sad is the idiots wanting this airport don’t have to pay a dime for it, that’s what us chump taxpayers are for
^^^^^^^^ Good point. Jolie actually thinks she can run on the airport and make that the centerpiece of her campaign. So far she has completely screwed up the whole thing and made it obvious that she is one of the most incompetent city council members currently serving - And that is saying something.

ReplyDeleteTKC, what you need to add here is that the cost WILL be handed down to tax payers and everyone who uses the airport in the form of fees and more taxes to support the extra costs. In the end the airport will cost us a lot of money and that's not what #BetterKCI promised.
ReplyDelete"So who are these insiders we've been hearing about for 15 years now here?" You waited 15 years to ask this question.
ReplyDeleteBwhahahahhahahhahahahahahahahaa!
I guess that gives Tk about a 5 years to answer you back. Very funny. But Tony gets most of his info from the comments and we've been saying the airport costs were going to rise from day one.
remodel!
ReplyDeleteCheaper to keeper.
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^^^^ Yaaaaaas!
ReplyDeleteHere is what I want to know. When do we actually start building the new airport and where? The voters approved it, not lets get started! I don't see any progress and the longer we wait, the more time it will take.
ReplyDeleteThe price of a round trip ticket to Kansas City will cut into the 25 million visitors a year.
ReplyDeletedemolishing one terminal and the gutting/rehab of two with a new addition or additions containing a central security and tying the terminals together, would be how drastically different than the new proposed scheme. It's our security that pisses the FAA and whatever fed security agency off so much.
ReplyDeleteall airports have ranks of threat level of potential to be attacked, KC low on that list, like threat level g instead of x.
ReplyDeletethe fellows over seeing threat levels are in my experience humorless mthr fckrs who look like they have lived in a basement for 50 years.
ReplyDeletekc may be low on the security update required list, but they are on the fckn list.
ReplyDeletei like it when men talk to me like the last bitch they dated.
ReplyDeleteTalk to Teresa Loar about all this she will know what to do! But unfortunately after 20-years in local politics she’s nagged, snipped, patronized and used everyone she’s ever met. That means she can’t even find 6-people on council to vote with her on anything. She is the most ineffective KCMO politician in a generation.
ReplyDeleteTeresa drinks too much.
DeleteIf a new airport is such a great deal JOCO would be putting together a plan to swoop in and build one for the profits
