OR . . . Show-Me the fight for union survival funding from across the nation. Take a look:
Right-to-work foes raise millions more than opponents
The group fighting a ballot measure that would make Missouri a right-to-work state has outraised its opponents by more than $4 million. The fundraising totals, released this week by the Missouri Ethics Commission, show a large financial advantage for We Are Missouri, a group opposed to banning mandatory union fees in workplaces.
As a long time student of politics I have tried to understand the effect of the right to work bill on your every day worker. Still clear as mud, so I am leaning towards leave it alone. Vote No.

ReplyDeleteYour post makes no sense. Unions protect people who don't do their job and drunks who show up for work with a brown paper bag in their pocket.
VOTE YES
@ 6:23, one effect in every State that has adopted it has been a severe decline in workers wages, in the 30-50% range.
ReplyDeleteDo you think @7:24 has ever worked a day?
7:38 I do not believe that. How can already crappy wages go down that much ? We all need a raise no matter what state you work in.
ReplyDeleteAsk those poor people that work at the DMV in Missouri how much they make to do that hard, thankless job ?
ReplyDelete7:38, I don't believe that either. Give us the original source of that statistic, which must describe the methodology used to reach those numbers.

ReplyDeleteDemocrats are "pro-choice" when it comes to murdering a baby
but "anti-choice" to having to shell out a chunk of your paycheck to greedy union slob honchos.
Vote YES!
While Right to Work does weaken Unions, there it does impact workers whether you work for a Union or not. When there is a group of people (Union) negotiating together, they typically get better wages and benefits. Because of this, other companies typically pay better to be competitive to workers.
ReplyDeleteIn states where Right to Work is in place (MO as of last year), workers tend to make nearly $9,000 less in salary and benefits (Union or not).
I realize that Unions do have some down-sides, but in this case, I'm for it and am voting NO.
