Kansas City Weekly Power Rankings

In yet another week of explosive allegations and furious slapfighting, we take a moment to recognize the leaders of the local discourse.

Take a look at the strongest this week:

Bill George

The Kansas City Transportation Group leader wrote a scathing call to action for local politicos demanding a plan to curb the rising homicide count. His words stirred conversation across the metro and hopefully inspire more local biz leaders to follow his lead.

Former KCPD Chief Forté

The very best TKC TIPSTERS reported that former KCPD Chief was up for the job of interim Jackson County Sheriff yesterday morning. And tonight, via Twitter he confirmed that it's new FACT.

Mayoral Candidate Phil Glynn

This social justice warrior lawyer is earning high praise from the urban core and this week he debuted a big grinning billboard on Broadway near Downtown. Is Phil Glynn the local progressive favorite for Mayor??? You decide . . .

And so . . .

This list has been compiled according to scientific TKC polling and market research data and it's a weekly comprehensive guide to local powerful people.

    1. NO WAY! The jazz museum is the strongest in Kansas City. It loses hundreds of thousands of dollars every year but keeps asking for more and then blames everyone else that it can't get more money. That's a pretty strong business plan. It may not make much sense but it takes guts to have that kind of entitlement.

    2. Jolie is easily ahead of Glynn. She runs, she wins!

  2. Oh God Damn!! Can we stop with this Sheriff crap? The Jackson County Sheriff does nothing! Choose someone that's not a criminal and move on.
