TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! FACE-OFF: KANSAS CITY INSIDERS FRUSTRATED PHIL GLYNN FINDS INCREASING URBAN CORE SUPPORT WHILST COUNCILMAN QUINTON LUCAS STALLS DECISION ON MAYORAL BID!!!

A growing number of denizens among the KCMO inner-city have grown increasingly frustrated with Councilman Quinton Lucas and his dedication to the job at hand rather than focusing on future ambitions.

Meanwhile . . .

KANSAS CITY MAYORAL CANDIDATE PHIL GLYN CURRENTLY ENJOYS GROWING GRASSROOTS SUPPORT IN THE URBAN CORE!!!

A few examples . . .

Chest-thumping from the social justice warrior regarding his growing coalition . . .

"Thanks to you, we had more individual financial supporters than any other candidate for mayor in the first quarter of 2018. Thank you for your continued support!"

A nice nod from one of the Revs . . .

"I am grateful to have the support of one of Kansas City's most prominent community leaders, the Reverend Ronald Lindsay, senior pastor of Concord Fortress of Hope Church. We share the same vision for Kansas City, one that lifts up all neighborhoods."

Even more faith/political community support . . .

Proud to join the SCLC Greater Kansas City Chapter in their march and rally for peace...

And so . . .

Like it or not, the Kansas City Mayoral race is growing increasingly crowded and competitive. More than a few urban core politicos (rightfully) believe that Councilman Quinton Lucas is among the best & brightest leaders with a shot at becoming mayor and they fume as he puts off the decision. Growing urban core support for Phil Glynn panics hardliner 3rd District interests and has evoked a call for Councilman Lucas to make up his mind and announce his intentions or publicly step aside.

Developing . . .

Lucas is right to stay put. He's actually one of the very few reliable members of Council and someone who can explain their vote and understand legislation. That's way more valuable to his constituents than another careerist.

Totally overlooking that Glynn would be a nightmare for KC. Last thing we need is another rookie lawyer who has to learn about how local government works on the job. That's how we got so many corrupt plans delivered to us by corporate interests in the first place. Somebody who doesn't understand city hall could be even more dangerous than an insider because they're more apt to rely on people who do know how to manipulate the system.

Kansas City is long overdue for a mayor from the Nortland - The largest and fastest growing part of the city for years. THAT is what we need to focus on for the new election.

If one of the candidates will at least promise to do a cost benefit analysis of tax incentive proposals before rubber stamping them, I'll consider voting for him/her.

Quinton is so very arrogant. He thinks he smarter than everyone in the room and he’s not.

Phil is worthy of urban core support. After all, his wife willingly let a black kid into their mansion and then let him rob her. Quinton would never do that, besides, we have had enough time to know that Quinton is stupid and is a liar.

So the pandering, I mean campaign promises, have already begun.
And endorsements from folks who have long had their snouts in the public trough and don't want to take any chances of that being cut off.
When even the newbies try to run ahead of the parade instead of actually providing some leadership in a different direction, there's not much chance of progress in what passes for city government in KCMO.
Has this guy bought a bullhorn yet?

I am just going to vote for and do whatever Jason Parson wants, because Jason knows everything. He is after all the person all black politicians go to for advice on everything including when to wipe their butts. So, if he says vote for Jermaine Reed I will vote for Jermaine Reed. If he says vote for Quintin Lucas I will vote for Quinton Lucas. I do know he will not say vote for the white guy Phil Glynn. That is unless Phil promises to deliver larger minority contracts. In other words, “Whoever gives me more taxpayer funded business because I am black gets my vote.” And we all know how blacketies stick together.

If Coumcilman Quinton Lucas, the contracts law professor, cannot sort through the bullshit contracts of the city manager and city staff then I am voting for a mayor that can !

9:37 you are right. Key word being “pandering”

Why oh why can't we have a fiscally/socially conservative candidate for mayor that isn't stupid enough to think that renaming streets after an activist whom has NEVER been to Kansas City will stop the increasing homicide rates happening in this damn city.

There will be NO Voting Black to anything, they've clearly shown the public they are NOT capable of managing anything, except to play the pathetic RACE CARD as their only venue !!!!

Quinton doesn’t have any balls.

11:59 you are exactly right. We can’t have anything nice without the blacks ruining everything. Slie is corrupt, Jermaine is stupid, Quinton is arrogant.

10:07 to help you put things into perspective: MLK is an icon of a failed idea.

They want a white guy who has white guilt issues so they can get even more free stuff, Lucas isn’t pandering to their every whim, he knows how to deal the blacks

He's a handsome white man, so someone needs to do some vetting.

I've never met a handsome man who wasn't a whore.

Vetting in KCMO City Hall? LMAO!! You must be kidding...?
