Another Rigged Toy Train Streetcar Extension Mail-In Vote Coming Soon . . .

However, there's still a citywide vote required beyond this scheme hatched by a handful of people with no funding mechanism secured . . . "The Main Street Rail TDD Board of Directors moved on Jan. 31 to set a date as early as April for the next mail-in election, which would address sales tax and property tax assessments for the Transportation Development District ..." There is a nice condo in river market next to the street car stop for sale. $1.2 million. Fancy!

I already see the future.
The city issues the bonds (not the TDD).
Shortfalls aren't collected by the city from the TDD to cover the bond.
The city eats the difference.
The entire tax paying community has just paid for the street car extension.

Unaddressed consequences, parking problems at both ends of tracks, light usage in Winter, cracks around door buttons that expand, and appear to be regular flaw in the basic design (meaning many of the Streetcars exhibit them).
