Kansas City police said the driver hit a pole and tried to run from the scene. Authorities said he was taken into custody on several traffic violations.

Jonathan R.G. Carpenter, the Drexel, Mo., police chief who arrested early Wednesday, is accused of pointing a loaded gun while he was intoxicated at his girlfriend's son and trying to avoid arrest, court records say. Carpenter, 39, was off duty when authorities say he got into an argument with the woman's son and pulled out a gun.

Johnson County police agencies employ specialists to assist in mental health situations

JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. -- Police agencies in Johnson County are taking a new approach to address a steady spike in the number of calls involving someone with mental health issues. Two more departments will now have full-time mental health professionals, working as co-responders with police. Beth Egbert keeps a police radio at her desk.

Kansas City Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt announced that former tight end and Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez will be the 2018 inductee into the team's Hall of Fame late Friday afternoon. "Tony Gonzalez is the greatest tight end in the history of the National Football League and one of the greatest Chiefs of all time," Hunt said.

If someone was thinking about killing himself and Beth Egbert were to show up I'm rather sure at that point they would commit suicide to get her image for ever out of their mind. How come social workers are never hotties like Helen?
