Kansas City Star Scare Tactics: Terrorists Win If Voters Don't Build New Airport

A desperate dead-tree media plea attempt to use fear to motivate Kansas City voters despite the fact that ON RECORD an engineer has already found security flaws with the #NewKCI design. You decide . . .

The existing KCI can't be made secure for a post-9/11 world

While the current KCI is not regarded as a security risk, officials say an airport designed in the early 1970s was not built for the security requirements of today.

  1. That’s a lie. TSA said that spreading the security risks was preferable to a single mass of people.

  4. That is why Airport police spend so much time writing tickets? Gotta stop those terrorists in their tracks? Perhaps there is some new way TSA needs to check my skivvies and toothpaste that only works in a new two billion dollar airport? Gosh! Tell me more. I'm getting scared.

  6. Note how they pull out security or point to Southwest all the time while they can't sell the public it will be more convenient or there is no way to upgrade it

  7. it could easily be constructed with A+ security and gates that are open to the concession areas, would just have to put an addition taking up part of the interior parking lots. instead of dropping off at all points around the interior circumference, you drive in and turn left at the radius. you exit the building at the stirrup ends of the horseshoe, lower level.
