Kansas City Hipster Street Branding

Check a local clothing line admitting to cluttering up Kansas City streets with their advertising junk . . .

File this one under middle-class privilege or low-rent taggers . . .

"The idea of guerrilla marketing behind the brand Clever Fools came naturally, how else would we get people to see our name or our logo? No one knew of us and nobody cared about the small time idea of a lifestyle brand.

"Next thing you know, the city is covered with this random triangle design. People wanted to know why it was everywhere and how it got there. That was shocking to us, the identity was becoming recognized and reacted too."

You decide . . .

It happens to more young businesses than you think !!!

Give it 6 months give or take before reality catches up to them,,,

  3. What are they selling exactly?

  4. @ 7:35 Same t-shirts and jeans as everyone else, sometimes bothering to rip out and replace the labels to make them look like different products.

@ 7:27, Reality might catch up with them even sooner, if there is anything like video of them defacing Public Property anywhere around! The City is getting desperate for money to shove into Out-Of-State Real Estate Developers pockets, so they might even enforce some of their Laws and impose fines for that.

@6:50, Nah, they started as a half-assed Garage Band playing at drunk High School Girls Beer Pong Parties.

  7. 8:18, it's great that you are able to pierce through the mental fog that has surrounded you since birth and produce such a well reasoned argument. We congratulate you on your perseverence. Now go back into the mental fog.

  12. So one company believes they are so important they deserve to be allowed to paint up and plaster stickers up on public spaces. Very sad, actually.

  17. I'm okay with them plastering stickers all over the already hideous urban landscape.

I'm not alright with the utterly shitty graphic design on their shirts.

  18. Geezer Hater 8:18 / 9:08 / 9:32 / 12:05 finished his commenting in time to go to today's rally supporting LGBT kids, where he successfully inticed a young gay boy to suck his dick in the bushes.

  19. WooHoo! The Geezer Hater has called us all "pants shitters"!
Guess we've all been told, haven't we?

No point in anyone saying anything, he's obviously the "SUPREME AUTHORITY"!

Glad he condescends to correct us all rather than just sitting around in Mommy's Basement leaving skid marks in this month's size XXXL Sweatpants and guzzling Red Bull and Cheetos!

"Pants Shitters Arise! The Worst Is Behind You!"

(Don't bother saying it, Asshole, I wouldn't let you near me in one of your wet dreams!)
