For the past few years The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority has endured a bit of harsh times thanks to streetcar looting and a structural reorganization.
Remember that our blog community broke news that the KCATA has hired Jackson County Exec Frank White's son to be its new head of "community outreach" in a move that raised eyebrows across local government circles.

There are a few more deets to share on this but for now . . . Let's simply lament some questionable decisions in the recent past and hope that local transit leaders have learned a bit more about the guidelines which should govern their decisions.

Not sure how T knows this, but seems like the guy in charge may be in some major hot water in how he used his position as chair of board to get himself the CEO job. Makinen has NO BUSINESS running a major transit organization. Guy is a joke.

April elections with the lowest voter turnouts are laughed about in city hall meetings. I have witnessed this. Some of the most important bond issues are on the ballot in April. Don't you love it when these clowns running our lives into the ground laugh all the way to the bank?
ReplyDeleteDon't kid yourselves, remodeling their offices is more important than city services. The conditions of these cities are a disgrace, yet these same people are elected and re-elected and then re-re-elected. Inconvenient truth.
How else do you think a guy with only a high school diploma and no management experience gets a $200,000 contract? Shady insider deals and kickbacks. Makinen's days are numbered. Back to the casino floor for you!

Our President appoints some of his family to handles some affairs and the left wing Cuckoo Cuckoo Squads all go nuts over it in the media and what not. But if local ex-baseball legion in his own mind County Exec Frank White does the same thing our wonderful media here in town looks the other way.
ReplyDeleteI'm just going to call it like it is, Robbie is not respected and is in totally over his head. He doesn't have the background or IQ frankly for this job. He has insulated himself from the real conversations going on so he doesn't hear what a joke people think he is. The business community recognizes how weak he is and trying to use him like a $2.00 whore to pimp their airport project for them, but don't like or respect him and will throw him out when he fails. Robbie is so unsure of what he is doing that around the office he is like a puppy dog trying to jump in everyone's laps and lick their face. The KCATA is in for real hard times ahead.

ReplyDeleteOne things stands out as the unwritten universal law. If a black has a government position he will find his black friends and relatives government jobs too. If you doubt this just take some time to walk the halls of and Federal, State or local government facility and you will see that this government all the nogs bitch about is actually being run by them.
