Up until that time, the place hosted parties for KCPS scholars and a host of other activities that often led to violence and confrontation near the Sprint Center. And the breathless excitement of having the 2.2 mile streetcar line about to open for all those small-town mid-westerners who have never ridden on a train before.
It's all so exciting that Sly will be leaving for his hoped-for government job in Washington before residents realize just how much they'll be owing for the next 30 or so years.
