Remember just a few months ago that local political hacks were soooooo smart and threatening that they WASTED quite a bit of campaign cash with a mailer that did nothing more than raise the name ID of incumbent Council Dude Dick Davis in a low voter turnout election.
Now, proving that most Kansas City politicos don't believe in anything much but their own self-interests and agenda . . .

Well, all of them EXCEPT THE WINNER OF THE PRIMARY HEATHER HALL who is an avowed Conservative, touting her support for police and has a 10 point lead against the incumbent going into the general election.
Fair play once again:
"Notice Dick has bi partisan support while all her endorsements by elected officials are GOP."

MAYOR SLY'S APPROVAL RATINGS OUT NORTH ARE HORRIBLE BECAUSE HE HAS COMPLETELY NEGLECTED THAT GROWING PART OF KANSAS CITY FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS!!!
Well, he did scare the heck of them with a tragic airport plan that was soundly rejected by everyone . . .

DICK DAVIS HAS WORKED WITH THE MAYOR SLY JAMES TO:
- Reduce violent crime to the lowest levels since the early 1970s.
- Increase infrastructure investment in the Northland, including the Chouteau Parkway project, which brought nearly $60 million in investment to our community.
- Support Turn the Page, which improved reading scores and got more people directly involved in our kid’s education.
- Promote jobs and small business growth by making it easier to do business with the city.

And so, Kansas City voters in the 1st District must decide if they support the agenda of Mayor Sly and his council ally Dick Davis or if they want to take a new, more Conservative approach.

ReplyDeleteThe growth in the Shoal Creek Valley (1st district) has been well thought out and executed by the Shoal Creek TIF advisory board. Both 1st district councilmen are a part of this group.
The growth includes new schools, parkways, a library, and retail. And, the residential part of the growth has been according to a master plan development.
If you live in the 1st district north of 152, you moved their to take advantage of this well executed development plan.
The endorsement of almost any one of these people would make me want to vote for the opponent. Almost every one of these endorsements are from those who have sucked the city dry.

We all know that over the past 25 years most Eco Devo has been done with our tax dollars so unless she can point to all her work sans tax dollars you can bet she will be a TIF approving machine and only conservative when it comes to social needs or needs of the community.

ReplyDeleteBE IT RESOLVED....that all candidates for the office of Kansas City Missouri Mayor and Kansas City Missouri City Council be limited to raising a maximum of $10,000.00 dollars from all sources for campaign related expenses. During their elected service, and for a period of three years thereafter, all officeholders and their immediate family members shall be barred from receiving compensation of any type from companies and individuals having done, currently performing, or bidding on paid services for the city of Kansas City Missouri and all affiliated authorities, boards, commissions, etc.
