TKC SUNDAY NIGHT!!! TERESA LOAR WINS KANSAS CITY 2ND DISTRICT AT-LARGE CIVILITY DEBATE WITH JAY HODGES!!!

It's Sunday night in Kansas City and we're going to pretend to be nice for just a few moments while we reflect on all of the slapfighting that is ahead in the not-so-distant future.
To wit . . .
IN THE RECENT KANSAS CITY COUNCIL CIVILITY DEBATE HOT MESS IN THE 2ND DISTRICT AT-LARGE . . . CANDIDATE TERESA LOAR JUST BARELY WINS THE FAIR CAMPAIGN DEBATE WITH JAY HODGES!!!

Now, remember that there was no agreement to come out of this slap fight, Hodges hit back HARD with proposed revisions and ultimately the two couldn't even agree on a time to meet up at The Big Biscuit.
So we turned to our blog community to judge the merits of this discussion and here's the answer:
WHO WON THE Kansas City CIVILITY FAIR CAMPAIGN PLEDGE DEBATE???
Teresa Loar: 53.3%********
Jay Hodges: 46.7%
In the end, the close victory might have been due to the fact that Ms. Loar hit first and Mr. Hodges was forced to react to hinted accusation that he might be uncivil.
Council Dude Ed Ford playing quasi-back-channel-advocate for Ms. Loar might also help her cause even though he pretty much disavows his whole council record . . . This picture of the two hugging up on each other pretty much proves that he's pretty close to her . . .
That is unless Council Dude Ford also has a photo of him hugging Jay Hodges that we'd also like to check out . . .
Anyhoo . . .
The reality and overwhelming reax from out blog community is that readers of this blog would much rather know where candidates stand on the real issues or just where they're coming from in general . . . Like the fact that Jay Hodges now draws a paycheck from the Unions and Teresa Loar has been making six figures from a sweet consulting gig and she's actually taking a pay cut for this city council quest.
We're working on more insights for the overnight . . . And we hope loyal fans will stay tuned and keep on making those cute requests that we either consider, chuckle and ignore or forward to the newspaper along with an invoice.
Hopefully, God willing and if we an avoid flash mobs . . .
We'll have more for the morning update . . . STAY TUNED!!!
Which one is Irish? They'll get my vote!
ReplyDeleteTa Wit.. Big azz slap fight.
ReplyDeleteHow many votes we're there?
ReplyDelete12
ReplyDeleteHa. You just make shit up,don't you.
ReplyDeleteLoar is a crook and shouldn't be in the race.
Why don't they broadcast on ustream
ReplyDeleteA crook only means she's a capitalist
ReplyDeleteWho's the bitch ho in the top pic?
ReplyDeleteLoar must have gave Tony a years supply of Little Debbie Snack Cakes.
ReplyDeleteHodges is a world class scumbag and the Mayor's bitch. We don't need him on the council.
ReplyDeleteAt least Loar has balls. LOL!
Vote: No Confidence
ReplyDeleteThe at-large seats are probably unconstitutional. So, I don't see how this makes either one of them nice people.
ReplyDeleteWhy aren't they running for one of the other at-large seats? Do they just chose the one they think they can win, since it doesn't matter where they live?
This isn't democracy. If I lived in Kansas City, I would make it my mission to end this hypocrisy.
Byron is starting to make a lot of sense lately!
ReplyDeletei don't think tkc got the snack cakes, i read this post and i don't want to vote for either of them.
ReplyDeleteByron, the city charter is online. Read it before you bloviate, please.
ReplyDeleteMissouri River water makes strange bedfellows. Those two must be the best we can do.
ReplyDeleteThe reason Loar is taking a pay cut is because she was FIRED from her six-figure consulting gig. She seems to get fired from damn near every private sector job she ever gets. So back she comes groveling to politics, and there is her good buddy Ed Ford, greasing the skids for her.
ReplyDeleteJay Hidges is certainly no scumbag. He just refused to have Ed Ford's civility pledge shoved down his throat. And if the Citizens Association clapped and cheered for this pledge, why didn't the group ask ALL of their candidates to sign it?
Teresa's skeletons are rattling in her closet...like her pleading guilty to campaign finance fraud. She does NOT want that to come out, When voters learn of that, and her many ethical lapses, she'll be easily defeated.
Im sorry but playing love affair with the port authority for eminent domain to build overpriced apartments along the river is dumb. That water is nasty. Its like walking out to see a flowing brown water sewer.
ReplyDeleteYeah...PRIME REAL ESTATE!
Vote Against Axiom
ReplyDeleteBrittney Palmer, stop playing around and show us those beautiful breasts!
ReplyDeleteTeresa gets my vote. Hodges is arrogant and rude--no need for more of that at City hall.
ReplyDeleteByron making sense ? Now that got the bear to spout coffee on the cat, who was asleep atop the fridge.
ReplyDeleteByron making sense.....LOL. Los Polar Bear has to take a shit. BRB.
Damn you bear! You owe me a keyboard. Snort
ReplyDeleteSo now we can talk about issues that matter to the city? If these two can't resolve this petty, inconsequential issue then I am having a real hard time believing they can resolve ANY real issue in the City.
ReplyDeleteHow many council candidates does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Where do they stand on streetcar?
