TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY MAYOR SLY JUICED UP BY BIG MONEY FROM KCP&L THIS QUARTER!!!
This quarter Mayor Sly stays winning with big time campaign contributions from KCP&L execs and a few lawyers.
To wit . . .
ALONG WITH HIRING SESSY CINDY CIRCO THIS QUARTER, KCP&L REVEALS THEY ALSO HAVE A NEAR MONOPOLY ON MAYOR SLY JAMES!!!
Just like most politics, let's make this look @ Mayor Sly's campaign finance reporting quick and dirty . . .
At the close of this reporting period Mayor Sly finished with $323,823.76 on hand.
Top contributors from KCP&L . . .
Terry Bassham - Great Plains Energy and KCP&L -- President & CEO: $2,000
Charles Caisley - KCP&L Vice Prez -- $1,000
Ellen Fairchild - KCP&L Executive -- $1,000
Scott Heidtbrink - KCP&L Executive -- $2,000
Heather Humphrey - KCP&L Executive -- $1,000
James Shay - KCP&L Executive -- $1,000
I didn't bother to list more than a few $500 contributions . . .
However . . .
KCP&L CAME THROUGH WITH ABOUT $10K FOR MAYOR SLY'S REELECTION CAMPAIGN THIS QUARTER ALONE!!!
Kansas City Law Firm Bryan Cave also deserves a mention for their 2nd runner-up status on the Mayor's bankroll. And so, with no challenger on the horizion except one of the Berkley clan sitting on the fence . . . The Mayor raised more than another 20 grand from this town's power brokers who decided that they wanted to throw some cash to the Mayor in addition to having the Mayor Pro Tem on their payroll.
Developing . . .
That's a lot of scratch. Guess that next rate hike is going thru.
ReplyDeleteA crooked politician bought by special-interests?
ReplyDeleteAlert the media!
It is unusual that a company can be so effective in pressuring its directors to max out their personal contributions.
ReplyDeleteYou can't defeat a nigger in Kansas City. Look at that simian fucker in the Congress.
ReplyDeleteIt stinks.
ReplyDeleteSure it stinks but all you whiners will stay at home and not vote again so yes the Sly will get reelected.
ReplyDeleteBig money doesn't mean anything. Its about the votes. Someone could come in, run a solid negative campaign and walk out with the win. So don't get all silly about things. Its early.
ReplyDeleteI guess his political girlfriend the "mayor pro-temp" is being a good little bag-girl.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder the City legal staff see no problem with Cindy Circo's conflict of interest.
I would say that it is time for advocates and investigators from the US Attorney's Office to walk across the park and talk to Ms. Circo and Mr. James.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the soccer park Sly. Here is some money. I can get more if you want it. People have to buy electricity, so we have gobs of money. People just send it to us every month. Its like magic. I love working there. I will get you some more money.
ReplyDeleteAgain here you have the Missouri Public Utilities Commission in bed with the Utilities and not protecting the interests of the consumer. Thousands handed out in bribes while the commission grants increases in consumer bills. Bend over Kansas City and Enjoy Your participation in the local political process. After all, you are paying for it big time.

ReplyDeleteKANSAS CITY MAYOR SLY JUICED UP FOR A PEGGING BY NAIL TECH CINDY!!!
Is this how utility corporations handle campaign contributions with our money?
ReplyDeletePay your executives a bit more and tell em which politicians KCP&L wants to bribe? And they dutifully write the checks, which hopefully KCP&L kicked in a few more dollars to handle their execs' tax liability on that "income?"
Stinks really bad, huh? WHere's the state utility commission's view on this? Oh, with Republican legislatures, don't look for a bill to clean this up.
I wonder why KCPL has so much interest in the mayor. He doesn't impact rate increases or other regulatory issues. It's something else because they wouldn't go this far (and deep into their pockets) out of civic interest. They wouldn't hire the mayor's bag lady either unless there is something very big the mayor can bring them. This is highly unusual.
ReplyDeleteIs the streetcar powered by electricity?
ReplyDeleteKerr- Smack !!!!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone ever wonders why there's absolutely NO interest by any of the other counties or cities in the metro at even thinking about collaborating with KCMO on some regional issues, fascos like this, the streetcar, and the general neglect of residents and taxpayers should certainly answer that question.
ReplyDeleteAnd the residents of KCMO just keep electing the same kinds of people and those folks use the taxpayers' money as a huge ATM machine to fund the dreams, schemes, and promises of the endless line of favor seekers at city hall.
It would be funny if it weren't so sad.
Fucking shame that Sly is so obviously for sale.
ReplyDeleteYeah there is no conflict of interest for Cindy to working for KCPL and be on the city council.
ReplyDeleteAnd her co-workers lavishing thousands of dollars on council members and the mayor. No no conflict of interest there at all.
ReplyDeleteThat's racist !
ReplyDeleteWhere are the donations from construction companies, consultants, engineer companies, etc.
ReplyDeleteDamn racist talking bad about the black mayor. Racism against the black man.
