KILGORE CALLS IT QUITS FROM KANSAS CITY POLICE BOARD OVER CONFLICT OF INTEREST QUESTIONS STARTED ON TKC!!!
Turns out you guys really know your stuff . . .
Here's Dead Tree Media burying a bit of local civic news: KC police board member abruptly resigns amid conflict-of-interest questions
Turns out, in the comments and all over . . . Our blog community asked some of these very same questions back in January. Natch.

ReplyDeleteSkippy's brother-in-law should have acted ethically from the get-go! He never should have accepted the appointment.
ReplyDeleteAnother Skippy Sanders screw up.
Cum Guy is most suited for the appointment.
ReplyDeleteCum guy has a job....County Exec.
ReplyDeleteOh noooooooooo!
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteThat was January....dinosaur media are only THREE MONTHS behind you TKC.
This guy NEVER should have been appointed. What a joke of a local government we have.
ReplyDeleteWe will get a local control cronie no doubt ...a man of color and stature I am sure.
ReplyDelete11:19 and 11:34 are right on the money! Sad deal, this city government is cancer to the citizens, the citizens want to live but believe all the shit they are fed which will eventually kill any chance this city never had for anyone that lives here to hold a ounce of pride.
ReplyDeleteKansas city is only happiness in your rear view mirror.
WOW 3 good ones in a row!!
ReplyDeletetoni bones. That IS damned funny.
ReplyDeleteThe governor makes the appointments. Blame him.
ReplyDeleteWhy anyone should be the least bit surprised is the real question.
ReplyDeleteKCMO doesn't actually have a municipal government with activities and responsiblities like public safety, repairing streets, and all the other things actual cities do for their residents. It's just a group of elected and appointed folks who supervise the public till like an ATM machine, subsidize anyobody with a pulse if they promise to build something, give money without any criteria or accountability for results, pander to every little self-defined and aggrieved interest group and tell them they'll get their fair share, and use their positions to look out for themselves, family, and friends.
You'd think in a city with 464,000 residents there would be some people who actually got involved to try to contribute to their greater community. But folks like that don't know "the game", don't kiss the right butts, and might actually have some ideas about local government, so they'd never make it to office.
Thirteen elected people in city hall and just four residents appointed to the police board, and this is what you get over and over again.
No wonder KCMO is lucky to get double digit turnouts on election day.
The Governor selects from a panel submitted by .... Well, submitted by political insiders.
ReplyDeleteThanks for nothing Skippy, you lazy shit. Stay out of the replacement process.
Oh Oh does this fall in Skippy Wigs lap.
ReplyDeleteThis oughta be special .
Cum Guy takes the fall for everything.
