ReplyDeleteSanders appoints his brother-in-law to the KCMO Police Board. The brother-in-law, Mr. Kilgore is the former Chair of the Missouri Ethics Commission.....that's "E-T-H-I-C-S", as in standards of behavior....right and wrong...moral principles, etc.
The fact that both Mr. Sanders and Mr. Kilgore are apparently content to violate the dictates of moral conscience (commonly referred to as the "smell test") can only presage what we'll see next from these two.
It always begins with the little things, and if they remain unchecked, the tendency to cross the lines only grows.

ReplyDeleteOkay, from all accounts he's extremely qualified, has strong morals, and is ethical. Apparently he will be an upgrade to the nut he's replacing.
ReplyDeleteIt really doesn't make a bit a difference who's appointed to the BOPC. They have neither the knowledge nor the guts to hold the KCPD to account for much of anything and are perfectly content to have the command staff shovel crap their way and nod their heads and smile.

Just like the public safety committtee of the city council:Sharp, Reed, Brooks, and Taylor.

ReplyDeleteIt has NOTHING to do with Mr. Kilgore personally.....it has EVERYTHING to do with politicians appointing their own family members!
