TKC QUESTION: HAVE VIOLENT TEEN FLASH MOBS RUINED FINE DINING ON KANSAS CITY COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA?!?!

Update: Pitch carries tragic report on the end of the Kansas City good life: "Starker's Restaurant, at 47th and Wyandotte streets, closed on the Country Club Plaza after business Saturday night. The restaurant opened in 1972."

  2. Well hell yes, niggers fuck up every god-damned thing they get near and the Plaza is no exception. Who wants to be robbed, raped or even hassled by the hoards of stupid nigger kids, that roam around down there??

  3. "why the fuck do you link to stupid ass stories on the KC Star Website that will not open!"

TKC Staffer - Get a better computer . . . Updated link to a much better report from The Pitch.

    Also, grow up.

  4. The Plaza is a good place to people watch, but who can really afford to eat there? Not me.

I would venture to guess most of the people that check out TKC can't either.

  5. Never was much fine dinning on the Plaza. Overpriced? Yes Fancy plates? Yes Tablecloths? Yes Professional Service? Not bad. Great Food? Mostly pretty damn marginal.

  6. As many times that I have been on the Plaza in 47 years, I never knew this restaruant existed! So sounds like marketing and pricing and not the kids causing this place to close.

With that said, the Plaza is a special occassion destination for me and I only eat there a few times a year.

  7. Do you think the owner killing himself might had been a factor?

  8. 1:58 nailed it. Seems like the Plaza restaurants just take patrons for granted.

  9. Yes, the niggers have closed down a forty one year old business on the Plaza. Get used to it, cause it's gonna happen again and again, until 47th Street turns into Bannister.

  10. So,what did 1:29 say to get deleted?

  11. Too bad, it really was a pretty cool place for many years.

  12. 2:41 - 1:29 asked why Tony linked to stories on the KC Star website that won't open.

  13. The comment was deleted. Tony didn't do anything. IT was reposted and answered! IDIOTS.

Do you really think Tony is the only person working on this website?

  15. Um, there is nobody in charge or with access to this blog but me. Or else it would look a lot nicer.

Luckily, I do have friends help me out with the blog. Some of them are weirdos and none of them are "staffers" . . . Just asked one of the blog friends to repost that comment that was YET AGAIN eaten by blogger. She is not a TKC staffer, even if she's really nice!!! Mostly because I can't afford to pay her.

As to the comment, it did complain about the star and was reposted.

I'd like people to complain about the Star as much as possible.

    That answer everybody's questions?

    Summary:

I didn't delete the comment but noticed it didn't show up when I reloaded the page. Asked a friend to repost along with the note that I was relinking this post to the Pitch.

You guys are getting pickier as this thing goes on . . . Dang.

  16. Wow tony after all that the answer to your question is yes.

  17. Starker's was a great restaurant. Used to be on the street level across from Hall's but moved upstairs above Resto Hardware several years ago. Too bad an original restaurant has been run out and will undoubtedly be replaced by another chain joint.

  18. Based on the article, I didn't see anything that linked the closing with the flash mobs. However, they are affecting the Plaza and anyone who says otherwise is wearing blinders. The Plaza was already losing appeal since most of the stores and restaurants there now are the same as in any shopping mall in the U.S. Add to that the potential to get caught up in negro nonsense and the same people that once kept it in business are avoiding it like the plague. Sorry and so long, Plaza.

  19. At the rate things are going the only business that will be on The Plaza are Churches Fried Chickens and Hole in the Wall liquor stores selling ripple. Maybe a QT and a car wash.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Sad but correct, that is the way all of kc is going.

  21. Starkers has been around since the '70's. Seriously, it closed after 35+ years and this is considered failure?

    ReplyDelete
  22. This sucks. It was an original that had been around for years. It was sort of indiscriminate yet I bet you walked by it unknowingly many times. Maybe that was their problem. Place was good. Incredible wine list. This and JJ's is a huge loss to the Plaza because they weren't chains.

  23. 536, don't forget the payday loan stores on every other corner.

  24. All this blabber and nonsense aside, the fact is, another old, viable business on the Plaza, has fallen victim to the nigger invasion and simply closed. Thanks niggers, you've been so helpful..
